NEW Deck Plans Starting with 2011 Bookings for the Magic and the Wonder

Here are the new deck plans and this link zooms in better than I have seen yet. Thanks to Corey for getting them up so that we can all review them this weekend and decide what we are going to be booking on either the 21st or 28th.

Now the deck plans look just like the ones for other cruise lines!

I would guess A cost more than B cost more than C more than D... right?
seeing as 'a' is more in the middle

That.. is so screwy.. we usually stay in 6548 (the last one in '5b'), but I'm willing to move a few rooms down to 6542 (5c) if it's 'substanially' cheaper!

Thanks for posting. At least the secret porthole rooms remained categorized as inside staterooms.

It seems strange that there are no Category 8's -- moved to a 9A. Yet they still broke 6's, versus making it a 5D.

I wonder if you now get a GTY 9C vs just a GTY 9 and so forth.

Not sure how Disney will do it, but with the other cruise lines, the cost difference between sub-categories is minimal. Maybe $50 difference between an "A" and a "B".

This is really going to make the booking process slow down....especially when they open bookings for special cruises.
It works well for the other cruise lines because people aren't as fanatical about booking on Day One the way they are with Disney.
And I do mean fanatical in a good way.

With the suites, I wonder what the lettering stands for, or how they chose R, S, and T.
R could stand for Royal
S could stand for Suite
But T...??? Tinier Suite?

While the R probably does stand for Royal, I do not think the S and T stand for anything. They are just consecutive letters of the alphabet following R.

I am confused, why do the "old" ships have new deck plans?

I was wondering the same thing!

I mean, how can you have alphanumerical Categories 4-11 for other staterooms, but then switch to alpha categories for suites? So, in order of expense: Cat R, Cat S, Cat T, Cat 4a, .....

I get the "R" for Royal.

Maybe even "S" for "second" bedroom.

The "T" makes no sense to me!

This may be a stupid question, but if you scroll all the way to the right of the deck plan, it gives you the 2011 itinerary. There are no carribean plans??!! is this because it is the Wonder or are the for some reason doing away with that??

My guess is that the beginning references new places and itineraries and those are the "special" cruises for the year on both ships.

With the Suites, I assume the numbering is alphabetical starting with Royal. But you can also think of S as "Second tier suite" and T as "Third tier suite".

Did they put a picture of the Royal suite anywhere? I don't see it above.

EEk -- ok... help. If I want a verandah room with the "see through" wall (not the solid white wall), is there a way to tell which rooms those are?

ETA -- ok -- nevermind -- I see that the * indicates the solid white wall... are those all 6As? So I should go with a 5C or "better" then?

the "magic class" ships are being recategorized so that they match up with the "wonder class" so when the wonder plans are released they will also be R through 11-C
