I can't believe the heat here this week. Josh is in NY near Syracuse and the high today was 73 degrees.

I hope you're feeling better.

Everyone I know that has seen that movie said it was good. Looks like I'll need to put it in my netflix when it's released on dvd (many months from now )

Edited to add that I'm having my ankle surgery in 13 days.

Exactly. And didn't the lady say that they sent your parents certified letters? Where are the receipts? Plus, I thought that someone who receives a certified letter has to sign for it.

Yesterday ex-BF was stalking my office--he did a drive by . . . .slowly . . . . just as I walked out for lunch so I saw him. I don't think he saw me however. Yuck.

Then today has been a madhouse--a last minute rush to get a document signed by tomorrow and conveniently the other other side's assistant leaves at 11 a,.m. our time (he's on east coast) and he doesn't know how to use his computer. Then my client was only available to sign at 3:30 p.m. our time. So it was a mad rush to get it done (but we did).

THEN . . . .Bella chewed through my computer monitor cord this morning. Staples didn't have a replacement--I guess I will have to order one. THEN she chewed through the cord of my optical device this afternoon!!!! Which means that neither my mouse or keyboard work! So now I am using the ones off my extra computer (and I hate the keyboard).

It's been a day!

Edited to Add: Oh yeah--and the house across the street was burglarized yesterday. I had planned to leave Bella home today because I knew it was going to be a crazy work day, but brought her because I didn't want the burglars to get her. Remind me to go with my gut!

Oh man! You have had a tough week


It seems like bad things are happening to all of us. My car is on the fritz, it still moves but I'm afraid it's going to collapse on me any minute. The spedometer goes up and down like it's possessed, the "D4" light is flashing and my "Check Engine" light goes on and off frequently. We took it to our family mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. It's 15 years old, that's what's wrong!

I got lost on my way home tonight so I was driving around Anaheim trying to get back to the dorms. It was horrible! I ended up at Beach Blvd and Ball Rd. I finally stopped and called my dad for directions. Ugh! I hate not having constant internet on my phone so I can use the google maps app I downloaded. It's great when I'm at a Starbucks or library but because it only has wifi I can't use it on the run. I'm home now and I have my new laptop (yay!) and my new iPod (yay!).

After everything everyone has been going through, I think we are in all desperate need of this October mini meet!

The letters they faxed to us have the receipts attached with the stamp from the post office. We live in an apartment (and they sent it to the correct address) so because we have mail boxes where there isn’t a person nearby (you know?) the letters have to stay at the post office and we have to go pick them up. but the thing is we never got those little pink slips that says we have letters waiting. Unless that was our mail mans fault. But when I track the certified letter tracking numbers it says “Your item was returned to the sender on August 4, 2009 because it was not claimed by the addressee.” So they were sent. Sucks.

Hi Tina!!

I am still hanging in. Ventured out again yesterday to the post office and stopped at Walmart to grab something real quick and these obnoxious people were being really loud and rude in the next check stand and then as they walked by the mom was "play" fighting with her son and he threw a big box of crackers at his mom and they hit Katy really hard in the back. I was NOT pleased. I just glared at that family and they didn't even say sorry or anything. TRAILER TRASH!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR

The manager came up to me and apologized and said if Katy had a bruise or anything to let her know and she would do something and I said it was ok but that it was NOT cool what those people did and she said I know. I told her that I just had surgery and they were LUCKY they didn't hit ME or it would have been a VERY bad day for them!

Anyway my parents have to go to Truckee today so I am going to have to pick the girls up from school. It should be ok though cuz I should be able to have Lynn go up and get them. My dad has been taking them and picking them up every day but he can't today. My only worry is not only the walking but if I have to go to the restroom cuz when it hits me I have to go NOW.

The girls have their seeding tournament tomorrow in soccer and they have 3 games this year. I am going to attempt to go to the first one as they are playing our old team and I want to see the players and coach and some of the parents as they are my friends. I will just have to see how I feel in the morning if I can do it.

We will have to take separate cars and then I will leave after that first game.

It will be a LONG day for the girls though cuz they will be there from 7 till almost 2!

Then our team is having a bbq at one of the parents house afterwards. I of course won't be going but Shane wants to go. I am not that thrilled that he wants to go and leave me home by myself but oh well.

Then not sure what is going on Sunday although the girls will probably go to church but I know I am still not up to that cuz the pews are WAY too hard to sit on. They were hurting me to sit on BEFORE my surgery much less now.

It is still up in the air at this point if I am going to be able to go to Nickelback Monday night.

I SOOO want to go but I am kind of afraid. It is an outdoor concert and the seats are REALLY hard and I know it will be a lot of standing as well. Plus it is going to be a LONG concert cuz it is 4 bands. I am afraid if I have to go to the bathroom I will be in big trouble. I guess I will just have to wait till Monday to see how I feel.

Anyway then wed I have my follow up doc apt and it is back to school night and Thurs is Soccer pics. Then Fri Shelby is invited to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. So a LOT going on! Then of course it is the 3 day weekend.

So we shall see how it all goes!

Aw Cristabel! Glad you got home ok...and what's with October! Are you not coming to visit with us in September? There is another seat available for the September meet at Cafe Orleans! September 19th 1:45pm! You should come!
