Late (After Wishes) Cali Grill ADR - The DIS Discussion Forums

Im a little worried if what I plan will not end up happening. The only Cali Grill ADR I could get was at 9:10, when Wishes is playing at 8:00 Sept 23. I know there are fire regs. and many people heading to the balcony at 8pm post meal etc. So I called and the CM on the phone asked the manager (made sure to get manager's name haha) if my fiance and I would be allowed to come up to the balcony 2 hours previous to our meal (7-7:30 probably) to try to view Wishes before dinner. This was okayed but I just am not sure if this is a good plan or not. I am continually checking for earlier ADR times, but to no avail. This will be my first visit to Cali Grill.

Any suggestions? Ideas? Advice? It is much appreciated.

CMs don't always have accurate information to give.

You can ASK at the check-in desk. If there's room in the lounge, they will allow/escort you upstairs - but there are no guarantees.

You can keep trying for an earlier reservation. Even if it's VERY early (and that may not fit with your dining style), keeping your receipt WILL allow you back up to the CG level so you can see Wishes.
You can, as I said, ask at the check-in podium.
If nothing else works, there's also a deck on the fourth floor, open to the public.
