Hello friends....I'm back from the edge and feeling more that a litte fragile today. Now that the celebrations are over I can concentrate on the important things in life like counting down the sleeps until my trip. I'm also going to have to get back into some form of eating and drinking normally instead of living the life of an alchoholic pig

Our RCI wait list came through!!!!


I am super jacked up. I logged into the DVC member site and viola, our Mexico wait list came through for next winter/spring . Got a one bedroom (they call it a Luxury Suite), Sunday to Sunday, for 160 points! It's not an AI, thank goodness (hate those) and I am just so excited. The resort is playagranderesort.com Our first choice was Zihua, Mexico but we adore Cabo too. I am so grateful as I wanted to prove to DH that we would use our DVC for more than Disney. Cabo is much more lively than Zihua but our resort is not in the heart of town which is a good thing. We are all about the street food, Dos por Uno cocktails, and the sunsets! Our suite has a king bed, full kitchen, and sleeper sofa. They say they all have ocean views but I am going to call and love them up for a killer view. Town is a 10 minute walk which is perfect and they have a breakfast buffet with all you can drink Mimosas for $18. Mmmmm......

Cagey is the perfect word! That's totally how it feels. I saw that there is a 5K at the AK park while we're there in Sept. and actually thought about doing it. Still contemplating that one, that may be a bit much.

CONGRATS on the RCI Waitlist!! Sand and cocktails! What's an AI? I'd love to hear how the whole RCI process works, how long were you on the wait list? Really want to venture outside of the Disney and try RCI.

I have been doing LOTS of Cabo research even though I have been a few times. I cannot believe how touristy it has become. I have emailed the resort and am trying to find a message board for more info. We really like the local food and culture vs places like Hooters and Cabo Wabo. AI mean all-inclusive. Our trip is not until March but I will share all the details. Cabo even has a Costco and Walmart.

Day 6:, part 1: checking out of OKW and into AKV plus MK all day!!!!

Today was the day that we were checking out of OKW and into AKV. I was sad to say goodbye to our home away from home for the past 5 nights but uber excited to check out our new home for the next 3 nights We stayed up late packing the night before and woke early to get a move on. During the hustle and bustle Michael and I thought it might make things easier to take all of the kids to MK while Jenna and Nate checked us into the AKV. We knew it would be a late night at MK and the thought of checking in after a full day at the parks did not sound appealing.

After a quick breakfast of pizza rolls and bagels we took the bus to what we thought would be MK however the bus does not go straight to MK. We had to take the ferry to MK from the TTS. I am SO glad we did too The excitement and anticipation of taking that very slow moving ferry while watching MK get closer and closer was almost too much for me to take!

Today was absolutely blazing hot and I think we downed our 3 water bottles before even hitting the parks. I called Jenna and Nate to bring more on their way over. If I said I knew exactly what we did in any particular order, I would be lying. I will let the photos do the talking………………..

We rode lots, ate at Harbour House I believe, and rode some more. After lunch Jenna and I decided that we were going to go ride PP and get some FPs too and that’s when we realized Michael misplaced one of kids’ APs. He panicked, retraced his steps, and found it at the FP machine at Spalsh. Whew, close call!!!!

My kids tried to get me to squeeze between those bars for a shot with Zurg, but the thought of the emt's coming with the jaws of life to cut me out, stoped me. Ok, that and there were alot of people watching.
