This is a picture of our girls basket from Shirley. (We also had one for us with a more adult theme, but can't find it - I'll see if I can find a pic tonight.)

Do they charge you a delivery fee on the ship? I wasn't sure if there was a charge for Disney placing something in your stateroom?

If you buy something FROM Disney, there is just the cost of whatever stateroom gift you purchased.

If you buy something from Shirley there will be a charge included in her price to you that she has to pay to DCL (it was around $12.50 a while ago..and I think she can tie two 'baskets' together for only one charge...but no more than two) Pretty sure that's the up to date info.

Thanks.

Does anyone have any good ideas for 12 year old girls?

I ordered a basket for my Husband as a surprise and my DH who was 9 during the cruise. I will say the baskets were fantastic. My ds had some pirate tattoos and a mask and snorkel some bottled water, some sand toys, some of his favorite candy and some pirate stuff, DH had some bottled water his favorite candy, underwater camera, and a mask and snorkel and some soda. I think they both came to around $160. However, Shirley was next to impossible to get a hold of, and the orders were done last minute... as in 3 days before the cruise. I had been trying to order for like a month before the cruise but her shop was very busy and no one could take my order. I did love the baskets, and they were worth it in the end, but we have cruised 2 times since and I have not used her service again, due to the stress of last minute ordering. I am an overplanner and have to do everything ahead of time, and the order process was way to much stress and to time consuming for me.

Thank you. I was just trying to figure out if there was going to be a charge from DCL. I guess DCL charges her then? Good to know.

I paid $55.00 each for the pirate chests plus, each had a mylar balloon. Shirley tied them together for one delivery charge, I think the TOTAL cost was $130.00 with tax, balloons, delivery etc...
They made a very special gift, the g-kids were thrilled!

It has taken me forever to upload our pics from our April 26-30th Wonder cruise!

There are not a lot of adult baskets, so I thought I would upload the one that Shirley made my husband.

I called Shirley explaining that we really didn't get a chance to celebrate my husband's 40th Birthday on time (it was in January, gulp), so I was trying to help make up for it. I told her I wanted a theme of Coors Lite and Nuts, and plenty of peanut butter.

Some of the inside contents:

And a highlight. Shirley had asked what Mike liked, and I answered older movies, one of his favorite being The Godfather. Well, she had told me when she put the basket together that she got a picture of Marlon Brando from The Godfather, and I thought that was cool. However, she failed to mention that it was signed, and that was a big hit!

Thank you, Shirley! It was a hit.

Shirley does great things! The first pic is me with a birthday present a friend sent me for my 40th. The second pic has that gift, plus the sand pails I ordered for my kids. Sorry the first one is big, but the second one is little. I had resized them for posting a few years ago and now I can't find the original large size of the second one.

My boys are now 13 and 10, and still love to dig in the sand, so we're going to order more pails. I know Shirley will have ideas, but I would love to hear what other people have done for their older boys. Any ideas would be appreciated!
