Parking for Chef Mickey?
Because we have a Chef Mickey ADR can we just drive right up to the Contemporary and park there while we eat dinner or do we have to park in the big lot and take the monorail over?
Thanks

A similar question...
Thanks for answering the original question regarding parking at CM's. Now I have another one. We have early morning breakfast ressies at CM's (7:20am). What is the best way to get there? Rental car? Taxi? Monorail?

Towed - we asked CM and he said there is a lot somewhere close by. Remember, this is the only hotel on MK property, so they are very strict with parking enforcement here. It doesn't always happen, but it happens enough. We've stayed at Contemporary several times, as well as eaten at CM's a ton of times, so we've been in and out of this parking lot enough times to see cars being towed. Can't remember where the lot is though, sorry.
Transportation - Depends where you are staying. If you are staying at a monorail resort, then you could hop on monorail, and get to CM. Of course, it depends upon what time MK opens at, as that is how they determine monorail schedule. If another resort, then again, you need to find out when park opens, and then usually WDW transportation starts running about 1 hour before. Not sure about a taxi as we always have a car (either our own or rental). Sorry I can't be of more help, as I am sick today, so not that quick with information. I see by your ticker that you are going in a few days, so check park hours and that should help you determine what time you can get over there at. Your ressie is pretty early, so you are going to need to be up and out of the door by way early to make it at least 10 mins before your 7:20 ADR. Be prepared for a long wait at CM just to check in, so you should arrive there by at least 7:00 am. Good luck, Tiger

1) You get a 3-hr parking pass.
2) After that, you are subject to being towed. 3) Lots of people try park at the resorts to avoid parking lot fees. 4) Cars are towed off-property. 5) Towing and storage in Orlando average about $110. |

This is a question along the same lines. I have a 7:05am reservation at CM. I will be staying at CSR. Based on the info here, my only option will be to drive myself there. Will there be any Disney transportation options available at this early hour if the parks don't start opening until 9?

You should be able to catch an MK bus around 6-6:30 am.

There is an early morning resort breakfast bus that starts around 6:30. You should be at the bus stop by 6:15, as the next bus won't come for awhile.
Have a Great Trip

Breakfast at CM then on to MK
Sorry to bump an old thread but I have a slight tweak to the original question posed in this thread. We are staying off site and will have a car, but will be eating breakfast at CM, then spending the day at MK. My question is should we:
A. Park at CM, eat, then move car to MK lot and take monorail to MK or B. Park at MK lot, then monorail to CM, eat, then monorail to MK. Thanks! |
