As much as I fuss about being a GA resident, occasionally, it pays off. We just used the new code that came out for residents of AL, GA, NC, & SC. I was able to save us another little bit of money and, of course, every little bit helps. They had to involve special services again, so that my MIL's ressie will remain attached to ours, since she will need our help in getting around, even in the room.

I am so excited about this trip and being able to save a little more money on it.

I was able to apply the new code to the last 5 nights of our stay. The first 4 nights are discounted already with AAA. The CR is full already those first 4 nights, so there was no additional savings available for them.

Unexpected, discounted pixie dust is always the best!

$1181.25 or $236.25/night or $210/night before tax

Rack Rate
$1518.75 or $303.75/night or $270/night before tax

20% off of Rack
$1215 or $243/night or $216/night before tax

DDP cost per person per day
$37.99 + tax = $40.46 ($202.30 per person each over the 5 nights)

Cost of a 1 day MYW Ticket per person
$79.88 with tax

Potential Savings for MIL
$243/night x 5 nights = $1215 + $79.88 = $1294.88 The room itself is $33.75 more over the 5 days, but subtract out the cost of the DDP and this....saves my MIL $168.55!

Potential Savings for Lindy & Corey
$243/night x 5 nights = $1215 + 159.76 = $1374.76 The room itself is $33.75 more over the 5 days, but subtract out the cost of the DDP and this....saves us $370.85!

The extra tickets are all going to be left overs, so I can use them to go on a solo trip for cheap next year! All I would have to pay for is a value resort, food, and gas. I could get used to the idea of not going to WDW with Corey again next year, especially if I can have some more of that awesome solo pixie dust.

Disney Visa FD Package Total: $1672.34

So, we saved another $73.27 take out the 12.5% tax and that's $64.11, which means the room rate dropped another $12.82 to $198 a night!

That's about 26% off of the rack rate of $270 a night.

Sadly, the deal on the room did not appear when I tried to get a quote for my MIL. The room rate was actually only discounted $8 a night with her quote, so we are just going to leave her ressies as is.
