Plain vs. flavored water

Does it make a difference how you get your water?? I'm not talking sugared drinks or anything, but if I drink half plain tap water and half flavored seltzer or spring water in a day, does that still count? I just like a little flavor sometimes!

I used to drink only coffee and diet coke. Now I drink a little coffee in the morning and grape water for the rest of the day. I feel it was a very positive change even if I didn't go to straight water.

I cant stand regular water so I do half water and half crystal light or just add the powdered propel to my water, so far so good.

I don't think it matters. I'm not sure though. I used to drink 100 oz. a day in crystal light packet water. While I'm sure that's better than soda it was an awful lot of "fake" sugar to be drinking every day. So I cut way back and sometimes just mix in half a packet in a bottle of water.

I'm thinking now that it's sweeteners that may be more of an issue than just flavor (after doing a bit more research). Something to do with how your body processes a sweet drink vs. non-sweetened. I have some flavored seltzer that I really like, no sugar or Nutrasweet or Splenda, etc., just fizzy, flavored water. Sometimes I've just had enough of plain water when I'm trying to get my daily quota!

While we're on it, does anyone else find that drinking 8 glasses of water per day lands them in the bathroom every 30 minutes?!! (or am I simply the victim of the world's smallest bladder?!!... )
