What about going home?
I'm sorry if this has been posted elsewhere within the thread, but I was hoping someone could help me out in regards to the RETURN flight.
I would like to know what happens with the bags upon checking out of your hotel. Are you responsible to bring them with, or does Express handle that as well? Hoping someone can fill me in on the return flight details. Thanks! ![]() EDIT OK, I think I found the answer here. Tell me if I'm wrong. The deal is, take the ME tags off when I receive them in my Disney resort room, to avoid problems from that point. Bags will be brought with me upon checkout and loaded upon the bus. Upon exiting for the flight off the bus, I will retrieve my own bags and proceed as any other flight elsewhere, correct? Magic Express' bag handling is pretty much done upon checking in to the hotel - pretty much only shuttle service getting you back to the airport after that? Sound right? Thanks for any help!

If you are not on one of those airlines, then just show up at the DME bus stop at the time they give you, your luggage will be stowed underneath the bus, you'll get on and off you go to MCO. When you get there, just head for your airline checkin counter, same as usual. |

Hey--just a question:
I just booked flights for my trip in 2 weeks (I was waiting to see if prices went down) and called to give my flight info for ME. The CM said I didn't need any yellow luggage tags because I could just give my airline luggage tags to the ME desk and they could get the luggage with those. Currently, I have no booklet, vouchers, or tags. Is it ok that I don't have any of these things? I'm wondering because in the past, when they hadn't sent my tags, or had sent them incorrectly, they FedEx'd my ME stuff to me so I would get it in time. This time, it appears that I don't need to physically have any of it, as long as the reservation is in the computer. I just need assurance that I didn't get the CM who had just taken his valium before I called. Thanks for any info!

Your Disney’s Magical Express reservation has been made; however, you may not receive your Disney’s Magical
Express booklet with luggage tags prior to departure for Orlando. Please be assured that you will still be able to utilize the service and receive the same seamless experience. Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you have two options: 1) You can pick up your luggage at baggage claim and proceed directly to the Disney Welcome Center. You will be responsible for taking your luggage with you on the motor coach. 2) Or you may proceed directly to the Disney Welcome Center. You do not need to claim your luggage. Disney will gather all of your information and collect your luggage for you and then deliver it to your resort room. IMPORTANT: Please pack any valuables, medications or anything needed immediately upon arrival into Orlando in a carry-on bag. Arrival at Orlando International Airport. Upon arrival, please take the tram from your gate to the main Terminal and proceed to the Disney Welcome Center which is located on the B Side on Level 1 and bypass baggage claim. If you arrive on the A Side, please proceed to the B Side before taking the elevator or escalator down to Level 1. You may follow the airport signs to Ground Transportation. At the Disney Welcome Center, please present your airline baggage claim checks to the Disney representative to confirm the number of bags* checked as well as your return flight information. You will then board a complimentary motor coach that will take you to your resort. Your motor coach may make up to 3 stops before arriving at your resort. Luggage delivery to the resort. Your luggage will be claimed at the airport and delivered to your room. Your luggage may take up to 3 hours after you check-in to be delivered. You do not need to be in your room to receive your luggage. Please note if you take your luggage on the motor coach it will not automatically be delivered to your room. Returning home. You will receive a Transportation Notice the day prior to check-out advising you of your motor coach pick-up time and other general information. Your motor coach pick-up time is based on your flight departure and will be approximately 3 hours prior to that time to allow for multiple stops by the motor coaches. Resort Airline Check-In Service. Upon departure, you may take advantage of Disney’s complimentary Resort Airline Check-In Service for participating airlines. You can check your luggage and receive your airline boarding pass at your Disney resort so there is no need to check-in at the airport.

They're correct that you don't need any of that stuff (as long as you have a reservation).
But it would feel better to have it, right? Call DME again and maybe you'll get a CM who wants to help. 866-599-0951 |

And yet another vote for trusting DME. I believe they basically shipped out the packets/yellow tags via FedEx if they had made a mistake, not if the guest booked to closely. Their fault, they'll try to make it right. I wouldn't worry about it. Hold onto your baggage receipts, give them to the DME CM at the checkin desk, also try to give them a description of your bags. I like to make mine stand out so they are easier to identify. You should have no problem.

Soo...I neurotically called the Magical Express people just to verify that it was all copacetic. The conversation:
Me: ...the Disney people told me that it was OK that I don't have any tags/booklet/vouchers as long as they have my flight information. ME CM: Oh, I can't believe they told you that. Wait, no, I do believe it. So she checked in the computer and none of my information was there. I don't know whether it would have made it over eventually, but she took my flight numbers anyway, and said she would mail out my stuff. I still don't know whether it would have worked ok without it (I suspect it would,) but in any case it's a little more comforting to know that ME at least knows I'm coming. Now we'll see if anything gets delivered. Quote:
Thanks for all the help! Update: 9/14--received the booklet/tags today. Woo! Little more than a week left!

Can we bring our luggage on
the magical express bus?
We didn't receive the yellow tag, and don't think we want to wait the three hours for our luggage. Thanks |

Should I call Disney if I haven't got my my yellow tags yet? I got my confirmation a couple days ago with all my vouchers and my Disney world travel tags (hard plastic with a loop to put on a zipper...it has a picture of the castle on the front and lines for my address on the back...I know this isn't the tags but should the yellow tags been included in this package?

So let me get this straight....
We are flying home on Airtran. At CSR we can check in for our flight and also give them our luggage to check in as well? So when DME takes us to the airport all we have to do is go directly through security and to our gate? We would not have to go to the check in counter at all? If so...that is awesome! Sure beats having to stand in those long lines at check in kiosks. Guess that's why "participating airlines" are considered a "perk", huh? So I'm guessing CSR gives us our boarding passes right? In other words it is like checking in at MCO's Airtran, but really checking in at CSR.
