Comatose

After our not so great dinner at Tony's, it was EMH and we were ready for some swashbuckling over at POTC. We took out the pirate arm and everything. We headed over to Adventureland where we knew they were handing out EMH wristbands right across from POTC. What more perfect set-up could we have than that? Except...

Everyone else in the ding dang MK had the same idea. The line for the wrist bands wasn't too bad, but the line for POTC....

We decided to bypass it and come back after the crowd died down. We went to the Haunted Mansion instead. This was a great idea! Very little line and, I don't know what it is, but something about that HM after dark is just double the scare factor. It was a great ride that night. We were all a little jumpy due to the darkness and the 'aura of foreboding' and it made for the perfect ambiance for our tour of the HM.

We got off the ride and went back around to POTC. Can you believe that line was still incredibly long??? We decided to give up. We were pretty tired and it was pretty crowded up in that place. We headed toward the exit of the park and we happened to pass the strangest thing...

It was a kid.

In a stroller.

Eyes open.

Mouth open.

Staring upwards.

Not moving.

Not blinking.

And his dad was just pushing him along. I think what we saw that night was a kid who had had his full share of fun for the day and was now completely comatose. Whether it was due to exhaustion or sugar overload, the truth of the matter was clear...

Moral of the story... When your kid stops blinking, it is time to call it a night.

It... hurt.... so... badly! I cannot even begin to tell you. And there were several stages of these shots. First the numbing shot which, of course, hurt more than the others, then the shot with the dye and then the medicine came. Good grief I've never been in so much pain! But afterwards, my muscles are feeling better, I'm just really sore at the injection sights.. like bruised I guess. So glad it's over!
But thank you for asking.
