Ok I'm most worried about this part of our vacation. We have reservations to use Disney Transport to the Pop century. We are flying from Japan to Atlanta then Atlanta to Orlando. Our plane arrives at night about 7 pm
1) Is using this transportation as difficult as I imagine? 2)I'm flying Delta--does that help or hurt the process? 3)I relly don't want to wait a long time for my bags at the hotel after almost 24 hours of travel I want to go to bed. Is it easy to get my bags and then recheck them? |

2.Flying Delta makes no difference in ease of use. 3.If you arrive at MCO at 7:00, you should be at POP by 8:30 at the latest. Your bags may not arrive until a few hours after that. If you would rather have your bags with you, do not put the yellow luggage tags on your checked bags. Then you can head to baggage claim, on level 2, and grab your bags and then head down to level 1 and checkin. Your bags will go underneath the bus you are on. But, that will add some time to you total. If you have more specific issues, just ask...we're here to help. |

VERY HELPFUL PEOPLE!!! My new husband went in and spoke to the representatives at Magical Express check in. Not only did they re-issue all of our vouchers and tickets, but also called the hotel ahead of time and told them we were coming. When we arrived at POFQ somewhere around 2 a.m., we were checked in quickly, given directions to our room and upon arrival at our door, we used the key card, opened the door and our luggage was sitting there waiting for us. We were in heaven! We'd been wearing the same socks for far too long and it was perfect.! Good luck disney dad.. if your flights are on schedule, you should see your bags only a couple of hours after you arrive. Be sure to pack a change of clothes for everyone in your carry on luggage. Oh, and don't forget.. the less liquids or gels you take, the easier and quicker the security check points are. Have a wonderful time! |

Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place - on DEPARTURE - we're flying SWA at 3:55pm. So we'll arrive via ME at Side B, with LOTS of luggage to check, a car seat, and an exhausted toddler. We can't check the luggage at WL because SWA isn't a "participating airline." And the SWA desk is on Side A. What do we do to get our luggage checked? Haul all of it across the airport?

Oh good! That's great. I was getting worried. An elevator ride is better than across the complex. Thanks.

Tyler - Help!
My sister and her family are flying into MCO, while my DH and I are driving down. We are renting a 2-BR unit at OKW from a DVC member. However, due to high cost on the weekend, we will all be staying at Shades of Green the first night (Saturday), then checking into OKW early Sunday morning. As long as we have reservations at OKW for our second night and the rest of the week, and her name is on the paperwork, would DME transport my sister's family and their luggage to OKW, where I could meet them with our car and shuttle them to SOG for the first night? Or, could they get off at the Poly, which is much closer to SOG? I will have to make 2 trips, as we all won't fit in my car. Thank you for any comments/suggestions, and if you feel I should call the DME folks directly, I will gladly do so. Bev |

I was afraid of that. I need to talk her into getting the town car or some other mode of transportation to the resort. At least they can use DME to get back to the airport.
Thanks for the quick response. Bev |

If I have a flight back home leaving the Orlando Airport around 5pm, what time do you think I will have to leave CBR on the magical express bus? How will I know, will they assigned me a time to catch the bus upon checkin? Thanks

Most likely, DME will want you at the bus stop about 2:15ish. But, don't worry, the day before you are due to leave they will slip a note under your door, alerting you to the time you are supposed to be there.

Basically...get off the plane, take the tram to the main terminal. Head to level 1 on Side B of the terminal. Go to the DME area, just about all the way at the end. Check in at the desk (only one person in the party has to get in line), you will be directed to the appropriate bus line for your resort. Then, when the bus comes, get on and start that fun vacation. |

Could this be a "DVC-only" option? Possibly, but I didn't get that feeling!

You and your DVC rep are 100% correct about members of a party being able to use DME on different days. That's not a DVC thing, it's a DME thing. But to clarify, goofy4tink was commenting about someone who hoped to get a ride from DME on the day before checking-in at a WDW owned-and-operated resort. Isn't it nice when everyone's right?! |
