An Apology to all....I have had a really busy fall and haven't kept up the pics. I just copied all cake pictures that haven't been displayed on the first two pages.

Glad everyone has found this thread useful.

No need to apologize! We appreciate all you've done!

I meant to come back and add this one earlier, but I forgot. This is a photo of what our cake (the "Happy Birthday Emilee" cake) looked like inside. It was filled with custard and fresh strawberries...

Thumbs up Cake from Private Dining at YC

This is a 10" cake, exclusive of any additional decoration, I ordered for my DIL's birthday. Whipped cream, vanilla cake, and choc mousse filling.

Yummy!

Is there anywhere online with a list of cake options like filling, frosting, etc or do you just have to decide when you call? Thanks!

It seems that the different kitchens have given different options. I have yet to have a complete list of what the different kitchens have to offer.

OK sorry I could not read all the posts- I have dial up so this is just easier. Can I have a cake delivered to the room? We are staying at POP and I would like to come back to a cake in the room for my DH. Can that be done or do I have to do it in a resturant? Thanks in advance!

Thank you soooo much for this thread! I can't thank you all enough!
After seeing the great designs and pictures I decided to order a cake for my DF's birthday. I called the number at the Poly and the lady at room service was very rude and unhelpful- the first time I called she said they only did one size cake and I had to order it at the check-in stand. The second time I called (I was a bit frustrated, but remained nice) she put me on hold and told me if I wanted a plastic character it would be $30 extra! However, I politely told her I had heard that there were multiple styles, sizes available. Aggrevated with my persistance, she transferred my call to the bakery (which I guess she wasn't suppose to do). However, that led to more problems and when they didn't have prices for me they said they would call me back! No call back for over a day!
So, I called the Poly main line and asked to speak to the front desk manager after being transferred and disconnected a few times! He was a great help and was surprised I knew my stuff so well!
The moral of the story: Disboard members are great!

I can't believe you had so many problems! They really need to be more Disney-like and atleast be polite.

I had the same problem trying to book my CRT ADR's. I had one CM tell me that I had to pay the full amount at the time of booking even if I had a package plan. That didn't sound right to me so I called back a few days later and I got a booking and they took my bank card # as security, but didn't charge it. They said they would just put a note on the ressie that we would have the Premium Plan when we got there. I was so relieved!

This is my first time posting a picture so I hope it turns out. This is a picture of the cake I ordered from the Contemporary for my daughter's graduation. It was a 10 inch cake and we ate on it all week and only ate 1/2 of it. I would have LOVED to have taken the rest home but didn't have anyway of getting it there in one piece. It was chocolate with white chocolate mousse inside and white buttercream frosting with Ariel. Hope the picture comes out. . .opps I forgot it was $50 in all. . . $40 for the cake and $10 for the Ariel design

Ok this is by far the most impressive character cake IMO.

Is this only available from the contemporary, or in the CR restaurants?

Also, can it be done on the 8 inch size?

Can you choose Tinkerbelle like this?

It was VERY impressive. We were all pleased I just wish I could have brought home the leftovers because it was SO good!

It couldn't be ordered in the 8 inch because they told me I could only ask for specific things if it was at least a 10 inch. I'm sure I could have gotten tinkerbelle. My dd's favorite was Ariel so that's why I asked for it. I called the CR and ordered it through room service about a week before we left. We checked in on Sunday before Thanksgiving and I had them deliever it on Monday (to make sure we were in our room good). When we got to the hotel I didn't have to call and remind them or tell them our room or anything. Monday when we returned to our room from the parks about 3:00 it was delievered with silverware and plates. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure any deluxe could do it for you because the CR wasn't one that I saw alot of people talking about but they did a great job.
