POLY and fitness center use ?
We are staying at the POLY and my son wants to continue his weight training. I know that the POly does not have a fitness center but that tha GF does. My question is: Are POLY guests allowed to use the GF fitness center, is there a cost involved and what is the best way to get there, walk or monorail to GF since it is between the two resorts/
Thanks for any help.

Poly guests can use the GF fitness center. I am pretty sure it is free.

You can definitely use the GF spa and it's actually located right in between the two resorts. It's much easier to walk there. Just follow the path, keeping the water on your right hand side. It's just beyond the wedding chapel.
Guests must be at least 14 years of age to use the health club and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Just an FYI, they have 2 totally separate lounge areas for men and women. They each include a changing area, showers, lounge, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Tammi |

Dh has used it when we stay at the Poly. He always walks over.
It was not free. In fact, it was a bit pricey, IMO--considering we were staying in a Disney owned deluxe right next door with no fitness center. For some reason, I keep thinking there must be some mistake though, and that maybe it is really free--like, they must not understand he is staying at the Poly! It IS early in the morning when he goes over there after all, LOL! He has had to purchase a pass if I recall correctly, that was good for the entire time we were staying there. I would call ahead if I was you, and ask a few CMs until you get the answer you are looking for, LOL. In my experience, different CMs often give different answers to questions like this. Let us know what you find out.

Does anybody know for sure?
If you are staying at the resort where the fitness room is,use is now free. length of stay passes WERE $25 prior to the policy change, but I read somewhere that now if you want to use a resorts fitness facility where you are not a guest it's $15 per day! I would love to stay AT poLY BUT DH needs a fitness facility, and would rather stay at AKL or WL where there's one on site and free. BTW we stayed at GF in 2001(pass was then $25 even if you were a hotel guest) and DH raved about the facility and staff, he too is a weight lifter. |
