Where's the Wonder?

Trying to track the ship's current location vs. Tropical Storm Karen. Most of the Ship Tracker Websites show old information. Does the tracking go out of range?

I've been watching it as well on an app I have on my iPad, Marine Traffic. The ships seem to typically disappear in the middle of the Gulf so it's not unusual that it's out of range heading back to Galveston. I will be very curious to hear from the folks on board what the return trip was like. Winds on the outer edge of the hurricane just south of the Louisiana coast are showing to be around 20 to 25 knots.

Curious if they tried to outrun the storm back to Galveston, or went around and followed the back side of the storm into port.

It's likely accurate.

They would sail south around the storm and hook north to Galveston. I plotted the route with projected cruise speed and it puts them in Galveston between 6-8 am Saturday morning, even with the additional distance to sail.

Where I will be boarding the ship tomorrow on my way to Jamaica!

Just got off the Wonder. We changed our course back to galveston to sail around the south edge of the storm. Waves were a little high (I heard about 10 feet) but it was mostly in the middle of the night thursday night so no big deal. Nothing uncomfortable or scary, we could just feel more movement than usual, & it was really windy on deck.
