DDP vs QSDP question!

We are going to be visiting in September and if the wonderful new rumor on free dining is true I was considering upgrading from the QSDP to the DDP would be worth it. In my thinking we are going to be staying 6 nights/7 days and are only planning on two or three sit down dinners, which will probably cover the cost of upgrading, but I was wondering if we could use our leftover TS meals at QS counters. If we aren't able to do that we would end up wasting TS credits and probably end up even paying for some QS meals (YIKES!). Any help on this would be wonderful! Thanks in advance everyone!
