Few questions about the Grand Floridian....our first time staying there!
We will be checking into the Grand Floridian tomorrow!
Though we've been to Disney over 30 times (we live 2.5 hours away) we've never stayed there because I can find a lot more ways to spend that money LOL. But thanks to a work conference that DH is attending, we'll be staying there for a few nights. We have a family of 6 (one being a baby), which I read is the max for these rooms (actually five I guess, but the baby doesn't count). That will put my 16 year old nephew on the couch. Does it pull out or anything? Is it comfortable? I usually bring my own blanket but it takes up a lot of room. I don't like the extremely thin blankets that most hotels offer. Are the blankets here thin? Does anyone remember? I'm not talking about the comforter (we throw those in the closet since they are not washed each time) but the actual blankets. There's a mini fridge, right? I assume it's large enough to hold a half gallon of milk? Is there a microwave? Thanks everyone!

I'd suggest checking out the Grand Floridian FAQ thread:

You don't have to read the whole thread.
There's a lot of basic information on the first page and if you don't see what you're looking for there, then ask.

The "couch" is actually a daybed that is about twin size, maybe a little bigger. Everyone's opinion of comfort is different, but on our last stay at the GF in December 2010, our youngest DS (15 at the time) didn't find the daybed comfortable at all. With that said, it might not be too bad if it's just for a few nights. There is a mini fridge in the room but not a microwave. I'm not sure if the fridge fits a half gallon of milk or not as we don't usually use it.
