Main Street Bakery Reopening?

I know the MSB is being refurbed into a Starbucks, but I was wondering, is there a specific date for when it's going to be open? All the articles I've found say either early or midsummer, which isn't very specific, and my family is going to be down there June 14-22. We're big MSB fans and we're hoping that our favorite breakfast on property will still be there. Thanks so much!

Since it just went down I don't think a specific date has been listed. Probably as they get closer to wrapping up they'll drop a date or week.

Can someone tell me if this will be an actual Starbucks location or will it be more like the counters inside the Barnes and Noble stores which it serves starbucks coffee?

Thanks

I don't know how to compare it to either of those. The theme will still be MSB style and it will offer SB drinks/snacks along with MSB goodies. To what extent? No one really knows.

They just did this type of thing over at DCA if you want to check that out and get a feel for what will probably be happening at WDW.

When WDW put this out, there was a major upraising agianist it, mostly becuase guests were afraid they would not be able to get thier long time favorite MSB baked goods.

Disney put out a new statement confirming that the MSB baked items stay and Starboucks would be selling there coffee and specaillty drinks.

I was one for those in favor of the MSB goods staying.

I've heard May 18th from various sources to.
I remember the date because I am there until May 16th, so will miss the opening by a few days. I don't care for coffee or Starbucks but would like to see it opened.

Sorry to hear about change to Main Street Bakery. That has Always been a MUST DO everytime we go to MK. But we hate Starbucks coffee... way to strong and bitter. But as long as we can get the traditional items that have been featured at the Bakery, we can drink juice or water and have our coffee before we arrive.

Starbucks... way over rated... IMO Only 3 months to go till we get more Pixie Dust

I'm so looking forward to getting a chai latte (tea for those who don't know) and one of Starbucks' amazing scones. This change can't come soon enough for me!

I think that all coffee tastes bitter and don't drink it but coffee lover friends tell me that the Starbucks blonde roast isn't bitter. Maybe it would be worth a try?

The blonde roast is only lightly roasted. Starbucks isn't burnt like many people claim, it is extremely strong which gives it that bitter taste. Also you can try asking for a shot of vanilla in their regular blend. It adds a light sweetness that takes away that bitter taste.

Good to know about the Target not accepting Starbucks Gift cards at the stores there. Here in NC, we can use are Starbucks cards at the Target locations.
