What disney expansion rumor is better?

I know there are a lot of people on both sides of the fence for this but what Disney rumor do you think should happen? Cars land as DHS or avatar land at AK?

I think with Avatarland it is less of a rumor on the land and more of a rumor that an announced land isn't going to happen....

Personally I think Parts of Carsland, and other talked about Pixar things to be added to a Pixar section of HS, before I would want to go to Pandora at AK.

I would 100x much rather see Cars Land than Pandora. I know I'm in the minority but I like Animal Kingdom just the way it is.

Yeah. I don't necessarily want pandora. I wouldn't mind cars attractions, I wouldn't put the full land tho, I don't think that's fair to DCA. A Pixar place that actually had more than toy story would be good

Seems to me going with a more general Pixar Place over a very specific Cars Land would be a better idea. It would lend itself to refreshes much more easily.

And really, isn't Cars one of the more not so good Pixar films? I would think it won't have the legs of other movies. How about a Monsters Inc ride where you get in your own door and ride through to have the door open to be "scared" by various monsters? Let's not forget about all the great Pixar shorts as well.

I'm with you in the minority. I'm fine with AK as it is right now. I've never seen it as only a half-day park. I see HS as much more in need of improvement. Give me Cars Land and an overall expanded Pixar presence, but you can keep Avatar/Pandora.

I cannot accept any park with a "hub and spoke" layout that has what amounted to at least two "dead end" non developed spots open when the park was opened as complete.

Not if the still are largely open 15 years later as well.

There is absolutely no case to be made that animal kingdom was ever laid out as originally planned. Or is "completed" in Disney's eyes. No sir/ma'am.

And I'm not talkin about what my fellow Disney geekers cry out for...the famed "Beastly Kingdom"...

I talking about this:
The allstars, Coronado, blizzard beach, the wide world complex, and later AKL...all developed FOR animal kingdom. Without the plan to open a fourth, large gate (to rival MK and EPCOT), those don't get built.
I'm talking about a zoological park that is far more expensive to run pound for pound than a traditional amusement park - Disney or otherwise.
I'm talking about huge, ambitious park site...the largest layout/ available space by far...and that's not entirely because of the safari/ animal habitats.
And I'm taking about largely no expansion on a park that you know they are spending a fortune on...and is the lowest attended. That makes no sense based on Disney's m.o.

Well, the NFL and Theme Parks are both copycat Leagues! Universal has done extremely well on Harry Potter world.

The Hollywood Fat-Cats sit back and say: "We need to increase the AK's attendance, boy, Universal sure is doing great with Harry Potter experience." EUREKA: Let's build a new huge area based on an iconic movie with a huge fan base!

Note: Before you read on please understand I am not anti-Avatar nor pro-Potter. I watched the last 3/4's of Avatar and the first Harry Potter (only because I had to take the kids). That, and I watched the last 10 minutes of the final movie when Harry blew away that dude that has been doggin' him all these years! Have not read any of the Potter books - though our family owns all of them - in Hardcover no less! If any / either movie came on my TV, I personally would look for different options.

My thoughts/questions:

• I didn't think Avatar was that good - nor Iconic. Expensive? Colorful? Neat effects? I vote Yes on all 3. But, I felt the story line had been done a few thousand times before.
• While Avatar was popular, I am not sure anyone can say it was or ever will be in the Harry Potter stratosphere. The Harry Potter fandom grew exponentially over time - will Avatar experience the same momentum?
• Both my kid's have worked at the same local Cinema. When the last Potter movie came out: They sold out all 12 halls (AT MIDNIGHT!) and had to turn people away. That weekend they ran it in 9 of 12 halls. And, for the next week they had it run in 7 of the 12 halls! In the nine year span my kids worked there - no other movie came close. That is the power of the Potter Nation!
• What if the Avatar sequel flops? What if Cameron get's hit by a bus? At least all of the Harry Potter movies were in the can and had a proven and undeniable fan base.
• Cameron has always seemed to me to be slightly insane - and difficult to work with. From multiple rumors he has already picked fights over the design and put the project in jeopardy. Is this the best person to stake a huge financial investment on?
• Say what you will about the AK, but, I love the park and do not feel Avatar fits seamlessly. These are not animals, they are Blue Humanoids - I think? Someone may certainly be tempted to clear that up for me - but - save the post, I would "wiki" it if I actually was interested in the answer.

Some are in favor, others no. But, based on what I have read on multiple threads the No's equal or out-number the Yes's.

For the sake of argument let me ask you if the vote was: Should the Studio's add Harry Potter world? I would think the vote might have been 80% Yes to 20% No.

Many have suggested that Avatar be scrapped for a Aussie theme in that area. Well, again I would speculate that the Yes's would outnumber the No's. Regardless, I admit that the creation of the Aussie world may not directly influence someone's decision to rush to Orlando. But, I am not buying the notion that the Funkhouser familly from Topeka will be marking their calendar in anticipation of Avatar world.

One advantage for Disney: Renewed interest every time a new Avatar movie is released. And, this is my only thought on why Disney decided to go down the lonely Left Path (within the AK) to explore the Avatar Path.

I also agree with another Poster (from a different thread): That Left Path is really beautiful, and, does lend itself to the Avatar theme.

For those that disagree with me - to each their own. I respect your opinion.

I think I'm in the minority of people that wasn't really blown away with Avatar. Between the two, I'd rather have CarsLand. As far as AK goes, maybe another continent could be added? An Australia/Oceania section would be cool: koalas, dingos, kiwis, etc.

Neither...Pixarland! :D Ok...they can include Cars in Pixarland...but I don't think we need a duplicate Carsland at WDW and I really am not all that enthusiastic about Pandora coming to AK...

From an attraction standpoint, I would go with cars.

With that, I am in for any additional that may allow for AK to stay open later. It's so cool to be in the park after dark. How else can they show off all of those colors and landscapes. Still not completely sure Avatar is the best fit.

In my opinion, Disney should not have signed that partnership for Avatar so not my favorite rumor.

With that being said, I really think Cars Land should be only at California Adventure. I'm sure they could come up with exclusive new pixar rides for Hollywood Studios.
