General Advise on Dinning at these Restaurants?

Hello, My Honeymoon at Disney world start October 22 this year. We're really excited. I've been doing a lot of Homework on where we will be eating. I'd Like some general Advise on the Restaurants Listed. My Questions are : When would be the best time to set up Lunch or Dinner time's so it doesn't conflict with ride times? What you think of these Restaurants dishes and Alcoholic Drinks? As for Dinner, do they provide take out boxes?

We will be on the Deluxe Dinning plan because we plan to Splurge, and I have also looked on whether it's worth it or not, we feel it is.

Tuesday 22 - Magic Kingdom
Lunch- Liberty Tree Tavern
Dinner- The Crystal Palace
Wednesday 23 - Epcot
Lunch- Biergarten
Dinner- The Garden Grill
Thursday 24 - Magic Kingdom
Breakfast- Cinderella's Royal Table
Dinner- Be Our Guest Resturant
Friday 25 - Epcot
Lunch- Rose and Crown Pub
Dinner- Le Cellier's
Saturday 26 - Hollywood Studios & Downtown Disney
Lunch- Sci-Fi Dine in
Dinner- Planet Hollywood
Sunday 27 - Animal Kingdom
Lunch- Flame Tree Barbque
Dinner- Tusker's House

That's pretty much how our week is set up, it might change some depending on what events are going on during the food and wine festival, and Mickey's not so scary Halloween. Some of the places are more for the experience than the food. We also have one more choice to add in a 1 credit Table Service in there, I'm thinking we might go to Downtown Disney a second time and use it there.

I would switch the restaurants on your two Epcot days. I would not want to do a Le Cellier dinner after a Biergarten lunch. So I would do Le Cellier on the night that you are doing Rose and Crown for lunch.

Since you are on the deluxe plan, I would also take out Flame Tree counter service and move to a Tusker House lunch. I would then book a dinner at Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you have an extra credit left that is unused, I would book Jiko at AKL. If not, I'd choose Sanaa at AKV. After dinner, you could take the DTD bus and then transfer there to your home resort.

With so many lunch and dinners, you are not leaving yourself much room to enjoy the Food & Wine samplings. So you may want to reconsider your 2 Epcot day meals altogether, maybe do a breakfast and dinner or a breakfast and lunch so that you leave a lot of time open to use your snack credits at the Food & Wine booths. In prior years I had not left myself enough time for F&W so this year I left myself open for 4 entire days and it was so much nicer not having those meals I had to get to.

I love Biergarten and it has become one of my must-dos each trip. That said, be careful of what time you book it, especially for lunch, if you are wanting to hear the band and maybe even do some dancing. They don't start performing until 1:15, so I would book a lunch no later than 12:45. That way, I can dine and dance. With a lunch that is that big and that late, I would likely not want to eat such a big supper unless is was much later (around 8 or so) and that would make it difficult to get a good spot for Illuminations. If you bump Le Cellier to lunch, instead, you can do that around noon and then book Biergarten for a supper around 6:30. The band will start performing at 7:00 so this gives you time to have gotten your plate and enjoyed some food and drink and still be able to enjoy the music.

I would leave your Epcot days open for Food and Wine festival (you can use your snack credits). Or, at the most, have only one ADR on those days. I would also do more signatures - late ts breakfast, then late dinner with your extra credits.

that is sooo much food also. you will leave a lot heavier than you came! I would do some 2ts credit meals and get rid of double ts restaurants per day to get rid of your ddp

I'm going to choose to ignore your other post to the OP.

This one however? Not entirely true. Yes, it is a lot of food, but there is no rule stating they have to be charter members of the clean plate club! Additionally, my family and I always do the deluxe dining plan and have NEVER gained an ounce at Disney. We are active enough while there that the excess calories don't cause any damage.

Now, I do agree that I'd plan in some of the 2TS credit meals, but only because there are some that I absolutely adore and look forward to each trip

I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but perhaps you would want to consider some of the signature meals as opposed to spending all that time on 1 credit places - there is so much to do at the World, why waste all that time on meh quality food?

OP, I think I'd add a signature restaurant or two in there. Personally I'd love to go to Cali Grill, Jiko, or Flying Fish. I agree about wanting to make sure you can enjoy the food and wine samplings. Make sure you're not too full!

I would move Tusker House to lunch and go to Hoop de Doo Revue for dinner- for us it is a hilarious must do and the food is pretty good too!

Also I would question Sci Fi Dine In for lunch- terrible in our experience. Instead, as there aren't many good options in DHS, I would go to a restaurant either on the Boardwalk or in the Yacht/ Beach Club.

There is really no way to know what time the FP will be for any given day, so I wouldn't worry about trying to plan your meals around the rides.

As for Dinner, do they provide take out boxes?

Yes, they can pack up left overs for you to take home (in most cases). They generally do not provide/have utensils.

I agree with the PPs who suggest going to a few more Signature locations (2 credits) and spacing out your meals. My family will often do an early lunch (11-11:30 am) and then a late dinner (after 8:00 pm) so that we can get in some good park time in the middle of the day and be hungry enough for a three course meal.

Some general thoughts...
Liberty Tree (lunch), Rose & Crown (lunch), Sci Fi, and Flame Tree aren't really "expensive" meals. I like all of these places, but keep in mind that they might not be the most economically efficient on the DxDP.

First day (22nd), if you want a light lunch, then LTT is a good choice. Unless you want characters for dinner, I would think about leaving MK and heading to either California Grill or Narcoossee's for dinner (my two favorite Signatures).

As mentioned, I would do R&C for lunch, followed by a late Le Cellier for dinner (maybe as close to closing as possible). That way, you can enjoy the F&W offers during the afternoon (and use some snack credits).

For the second Epcot dinner, I would think about going to Flying Fish (at the Boardwalk) for dinner (instead of Garden Grill). Lots of good items, but being more seafood-focused, the dishes seemed lighter, which might be a good balance to the heavy Biergarten food.

If you're going to DHS, I would consider going to the Hollywood Brown Derby. It has lots of yummy items (all day menu). However, if you spend the whole day at DHS, I would consider HBD for lunch (Fantasmic package, maybe?) and then Sci Fi for dinner. Otherwise, if you go to DTD, I would opt to go to Raglan Road instead.

In addition to what has already been posted, I would add that I would not eat at Planet Hollywood under any circumstances. It rests at the very, very bottom of the list of all available options at DTD. Pick something else (unless you have an urgent need to see a leather jacket worn by Arnold in "The Terminator", at which point, you can see that by going in and grabbing a beer.)

I agree with those who suggested not trying to do Le Cellier and Biergarten on the same day. That is a very heavy day of food that you may regret. I'm also not a big fan of Le Cellier in general, but I'm in the minority on that one so take it for what it's worth. I don't think it's bad, by any stretch, just nothing very special.

I also agree with those who suggested swapping pretty much anything for Planet Hollywood, unless it has some sentimental meaning to you. I don't really remember what places in DTD take the dining plan (we don't use it anymore) but Raglan Road is pretty good, as are the various Wolfgang Puck places (interestingly, we like the CS version the best). If you're willing to stay in DHS for dinner, Hollywood Brown Derby is nice and relatively romantic, in my opinion.

Aside from that, it looks like a great collection of ADRs. Have fun!
