Need a lot of help with booking a trip
Hi, we usually book our own trips but have heard that disney magical vacations are having a promotion now for august. I got a price quote for the room and the dining plan. We do not need tickets. If I book thru disney I need to buy at least 1 day ticket per person to purchase the meal plan? Is this correct? Disney magical vacations say that I do not have to buy a ticket. I am nervous about this. Should I be? I got an unbelievable price. I worked it out that it is 35% off the rack rate for the wilderness lodge.
Please help? Is this too good to be true? Should I hold out for a promotion from disney? I am currently booked as a bounceback free dining for 8/18 but we need to go earlier in the month Our dates are 8/5-8/10. We are a family of 4. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

35% off is a great deal(I have 35% off the poly thru March) Not really sure how they are getting 35% off in August. Just double check to confirm. FYI, I believe you can adjust your bounceback dates. When I was going to book a bounceback I was unsure of the dates, but I knew the month and CM told me the dates are adjustable as long as they are within the time that the bounceback is good....Go figure, I checked out by accident without booking

As for buying tickets to buy the meal plan, they said no. This is why I am afraid that it is legit. I have old disney tickets and would love to use them and just buy the meal plan. I am nervous. Yes 35% off is a great deal for the wilderness lodge. I am so confused, lol. Thank you

I'd be cautious. There is no way around the ticket rule with Disney unless you're an AP holder, military, a cast member, or booking DVC. |

Many agencies, including Magical Vacations Travel work with the Disney Group Sales department to put together exclusive discounts for their clients. Basically, they buy blocks of rooms at a discount and pass the savings on to the consumer. When dealing with the Disney Group Sales Department, agencies can offer a room/dining package WITHOUT clients having to purchase tickets. This may sound too good to be true because we are all used to the way Walt Disney Travel Company does their packages, but, Disney Group Sales simply can package things differently. So, yes, what Magical Vacations Travel is telling you is true - through their Agency Exclusives discounts, you can purchase a room/dining package without purchasing any ticket whatsoever. It's true. |

They have a block of rooms set aside through Disney group sales for August - that's how they are getting the discount in August. Their agency exclusive discounts have nothing to do, whatsoever, with Disney general public discounts or WDTC room/ticket/dining package rules.
