Help deciding what resort
For the 1000 time, we are narrowing down next years trip. I think we have it figured out between 3 resorts, but who knows. We have it down to BC, BWI and WL. We like these 3 for very different reasons. We like WL because of its lower deluxe price, smaller resort and proximity to MK. We like BWI because of the decor, proximity to EPCOT and overall feel of the resort, but I kind of hate clowns. We like BC because of SAB, proximity to EPCOT and the reputation of the BC. What would you do and why? It's me, DW, DD (6) and DD (1) when we go next year. Any help would be appreciated.

Will you be spending most of your time at MK?
What a tough choice. Between the two Epcot resorts, I would choose BC. I just think it has a better resort layout and the SAB is a huge plus. And you can walk even more easily to Epcot. Love WL for all of the reasons you already stated. Split stay? ![]() ETA: If you are going to spend a lot of time at MK I guess I would choose WL for sure. Bus service from the Beach Club to MK sucks. Worst bus experience I've ever had. |

I would normally say yes, we will spend most of our time at MK, but we missed SO MUCH in EPCOT our last trip to WDW, that i think we need to spend some considerable time at EPCOT. We missed Soarin, Test Track, Norway flume, the character spot and Mission Space.

I've stayed at all 3.
I would pick WL first because I still think that with the age of your children, MK will be the favorite place to go. I love the lobby and the grounds; the room decor-not so much. I would pick BC last because half of the rooms do not have balconies and that's important to me. Also, SAB, depending on the age of your children and their swim skills, can be a tough place to navigate and feel comfortable. It's the least relaxing pool at WDW IMO. BWI is my favorite Disney hotel but when I stay there, it's adults only. I think it's the best adult only location at WDW. The clown pool is nice, love the pool bar area. But with the long narrow hallways at the resort, I'm not sure I'd love it with children. |

![]() I picked BC because of your desire to go to Epcot. We've gone to WDW with little kids and BC is great. And contrary to some people's experiences, the bus to MK has never been a problem for us. It goes directly from BC to MK. ![]() WL would also be nice because it is a smaller resort and the food court at Roaring Forks is a better option than the Marketplace at BC.

[QUOTE=Wood Nymph;46902193]I hope you have a babysitter, because your children won't be allowed on some of those rides.
QUOTE]My 6 year old I think will make it on all of them, or be close to it, but yea my 1 year old will stay with my wife or me or potentially my mom if she goes with us. |

Another vote for WL. The kids will love the theming.

With your kids ages I would pick WL because of it being near MK and the availability of boat transportation to MK. Also the rooms at WL are a bit smaller than those at BWI and BC so I would choose WL now while your kids are young then stay at BC or BWI when they are older and will probably be interested in spending more time at SAB and Epcot.

Well I will be the odd man out. I have zero interest in WL. Yes it is close to MK - but the theming holds zero appeal to me..nor does boat transportation to MK. But that is just me - if being near MK with littles ones was a priority for me, I would stay at Poly or CR. I much prefer the monorail as an option.
BWI in would be my second choice - again the theming doesn't appeal to me - and I don't love clowns - but we checked out the resort on our last trip and the pool area looks very fun! Of the 3, the Beach Club would be my first choice. (have you consider AKL?) - It is along the same lines cost wise as WL - and it is a gorgeous resort - tons of activities for kids, fabulous pool and of course animals.

AKL looks like a great resort, but it feels far away from everything to me.

Another WL vote ... We love the layout and theming, the pool is great for littles and the geyser is great too. We did a family photo shoot on the property a few years ago trough photopass which came out amazing. Artists Pointe is to die for, and there isn't a formal, need to be quiet feel ... It is clean, comfortable and proximity to MK is the best - the boat vs. bus is really fun for the kids and gives good options for making your transport fun and not a necessary evil.

I voted for something else and my suggestion would be the Poly. The Poly is very convenient to MK (which is only 2 stops away) via the monorail and is just a 5 minute walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. The volcano pool is great, the tropical atmosphere is beautiful, and the beach is great for watching the fireworks. With all of that said, I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices as they are all great resorts. Good luck.
