Ever find a real Rembrandt at Goodwill? My lucky week!
Yep. I found a real signed Rembrandt at Goodwill this week. I paid less than $4 for it but didn't honestly know what it was until I got home and researched it.
OK ok ok so it's not a painting but it IS a very large signed Rembrandt metal mesh art deco design lamp shade. It's one of the biggest shades the company made and it's beautiful. I do admit however to never having seen a metal mesh lamp shade before and really didn't know they existed. Going to be fun to find out what I'll be able to actually get for it when I resell it! ![]() Did anyone else find good stuff recently at their local thrift shop? |

The thrift stores have been rather disappointing lately. I cant wait to see what they end up with after the holidays.
Sounds like you got an awesome deal. |

What was the shade used on? Candles, some sort of fire lighting?. Just wondering.

I got a pair of Dansko clogs in my size for $6 this past weekend. Same pair that sells for $120 retail. That's the best deal I have ever gotten.

LOL Party pooper! Not sure what high hopes would be I guess but having had the experience of buying something for less than a dollar just to turn around and auction it off for $1200 is kinda fun... Having picked this thing up for less than $5 almost any price I get will be lovely! At this point I'm anticipating being able to get anywhere from $500-$2000 for it but hope I can get a bit closer to a final ballpark price after a bit more research. Anyone else find valuable items lately? |
