Engagement Pictures in the Parks? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi, We are wanting to do our engagement pictures in some of the parks. Is this allowed or is there a special permit required?

I believe you can only get engagement pictures in the parks if you are having a DFTW. You can have them in the resorts, regardless, though. Double check that, though. It may not be entirely accurate.

You can book a portrait shoot in a park through Disney. It's not like the DFTW bridal portraits that are done in the morning before the park opens. They'll be during the day with other guests around. You must use Disney Event Photography to do a portrait session in a park, but you can use any photographer if you want to do engagement photos at one (or more) of the Disney resorts.

My fiance and I got our engagement pictures taken at Epcot last December. You don't have to have a DFTW to get them taken. Contact DisneyEventPhotography.com

You can get them taken at DHS, Epcot or AK. Ours were taken in the World Showcase before the park opened. Our selected time was 7:45 but you could do it anywhere from 7-9 I believe.

We did our engagement pictures in the World Showcase last year. We went through Disney Fine Art Photography and Mike Strickland was our photographer. We absolutely loved the pictures and we requested Mike for our wedding as well. He did such an amazing job for both!!

We just did our anniversary photo shoot through Disney but Mike was not available. We took our pictures at the Boardwalk Resort and Alicia was our photographer, we haven't seen the pictures yet but she was amazing to work with!
