Arrival Day at WDW

Hi everyone!

We will be arriving at WDW and spending two nights there before we are leaving for our Disney Cruise! We won't be arriving until 6PM on Friday evening so we will just check in, grab dinner and sleep.

On the Saturday, we don't want to go into any of the parks, as we're coming back after the cruise. We were thinking about doing LaNouba at 6PM and probably a Downtown Disney reservation and heading back to the hotel.

Any ideas on what to do during the day? It's an adults only trip and Downtown Disney is not enough to provide us hours of activities. We don't want to do any character meals and we will probably sleep until 9am-10am so something on property. We might swim at the resort but it will depend on the weather. We will have just had a 25 hour flight from Australia the day before so looking to have a quite relaxing day.

Thanks all in advance!

You mentioned sleeping in but not where you were staying.

Since you are looking at LaNouba for 6:00 and dinner after but did not metioned eating, could either do a nice, relaxing breakast/brunch at the resort, then the pool with a cold drink or something light at the resort and switch to late lunch at DTD, maybe at Fulton's, House of Blues or Raglan Road then the show. There is also the option of minature golfing or just resort exploring.

You may not spend hours at DTD but there are some really nice stores to see.

We have been to WDW before and we love DTD but not for hours at a time. We end up there a few nights of the trip or at Boardwalk as it's open late and we are night owls.

We will probably be staying at the Beach or Yacht Club Resorts but that isn't finalised yet. We will probably go Raglan Road or Portobello Trattoria for dinner.

We like to rent a pontoon boat and take a picnic lunch out with us. Bay Lake is the best area, less traffic than the Yacht/Beach Club lake (not even sure if they rent ponttons there either).

You can rent bikes at the Wilderness Lodge and ride over to Fort Wilderness. Very relaxing, quiet trail. It's nice to sit by the big fireplace at the WL too.

Miniature golf is fun, we have only done Fantasia Gardens. Not quite as relaxing as the other two suggestions though.

We were looking at mini golf. We are hoping for something to really get us in the Disney mood without visiting the parks. We will be coming back to WDW and hitting the parks then.
