Your favorite 007 Movie Theme Song?
After I posted about Adele singing the SKYFALL song, I started thinking about all the great 007 songs. There are so many good ones but I think my favorite is Goldfinger by Shirley Bassey. What's your favorite?

It's not the best movie (Roger Moore at his oldest and hokiest), but hearing "A View to a Kill" by Duran Duran always takes me back to that time period in my life. I was 14 and a huge Duran Duran fan
. It also has a good video from back when videos were entertaining. That one, Goldfinger, and Live and Let Die are my favorite Bond theme songs.

Live and Let Die. I like the Wings version, but I do prefer the Guns n' Roses cover.

Besides Goldfinger, inarguably the best vintage title opening song:
Nancy Sinatra, You Only Live Twice - the sweeping, bombastic 60s style bond themes definitely peaked with this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcIl_6amBvU Best 1970s one (slimmer pickings here): Carly Simon, "Nobody Does It Better" from The Spy Who Loved Me - one of the few "pop melodic" ballads that has ever really worked as a Bond opener. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNA7DcVppEs Best 1980s: NOTHING - all dreck. Best Contemporary (post 1990): again, slimmer pickings beyond what Adele just did. My Vote would be for Garbage, "The World Is Not Enough." It is a quirky mix of the classic orchestra style mixed with a bit of grunge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRPWFzONm88 Last edited by CandyMandy; 10-05-2012 at 09:13 PM. |

Never was much of a Bond fan. The only theme song I can remember is Goldfinger, lol.

The theme from the 1967 Version of Casino Royale by Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass.
Its not your typical 007 movie though I like it. Featured David Niven, Peter Sellers, Woody Allen and Ursala Andress ![]() http://youtu.be/SSEmKXzpQMQ and here is the trailer for it: http://youtu.be/xEnoKqiGJFI |

Live and Let Die - I saw Paul McCartney in concert last year and he "killed" every song he did |
