Universal hotel in October
Hello,
I usually go to Disney/ Universa in June and book Hard Rock Hotel for 2 nights to take advantage of the front of the line access. I think I will be visiting Universal on the 18th and 19th October and wondered if October is as busy as June and if I really need to book the hotel for the front of the line access? Thanks Andrea

Unfortunately forbidden journey is one of the few attractions that you can't get FOTL access too!

we did that last august - no way we would have been able to even get near HP without it!
when that hour was up, the place was overrun with people!! when they started letting people in, we raced to the other side and got into line for the wand shop. We were in the second group let in. then we went over to forbidden journey - it was still no problem to go on it twice, with a ride on the smaller coaster in between the two rides. And then the hordes were upon us and we left HP and headed for jurassic park.

We'll have two days for early entry so think we'll leave our bags at HRH very early the day we check in and head straight to HP and do Universal, then the next day check out and head straight to HP but at 9pm go to IOA :D

We went last year roughly the same time and the longest we waited for HP was 20 minutes as we went there towards closing time, we kept checking the wait time throughout the day as I refused to wait ages for it. The rest of the park rides we only waited for 10/15 mins and some rides like Hulk were walk ons. We are going Oct 2013 and I don't feel the need to get fastpasses/hotel benefits. I will just not go at weekends and will have 2, maybe 3 days to leisurely walk around. We love US and IOA

I think I will take my chances without booking an onsite hotel to get in WWH early, hopefully we will be able to get on with a wait time of an hour or less ......fingers crossed
