Silliest question/comment you've heard about Disney?

This came to mind after an, at length, conversation with a frequent Disney vacationer about Swan and Dolphin being the best hotels that Disney has.

Me: "They aren't Disney Hotels."
CoWoker: "But, they are on Disney property."
Me: "Yes but, still, they are not Disney owned hotels." Then came the looking around the Internet to prove me wrong. LOL!

My other favorite. "Is it true that all of EPCOT is inside the big golf ball?"

I mean, that would be cool and there are plenty of amusement parks around the world that are INDOORS but... no... LOL!

I seriously had a friend/coworker argue with me for about 20 minutes that alcohol is served at MK. When I tried to nicely explain that it has never been served there, she got more and more belligerent even telling me that "her brother bought a beer across the street from its a small world" when they were there last month. I finally had to drop it since she was getting so irate. She's a person who can never be wrong!

While your coworker was probably wrong in this case, MK DOES serve alcohol. Just not during normal operation. There have been several private events held there in which they do open up the taps . (Well, the boxes...since the alcohol isn't on tap there there'd be nothing to open). It's a bit outside the norm though.

I did have people plan to go over major holidays thinking that it wouldn't be busy... after all, who spends Christmas/Easter at Disney? Other than that, nothing very interesting.

My next door neighbors went to Florida last summer and I asked her if they were going to Disney.. She said that her boys who are 6 and 11 are too old for Disney because it is for little kids.. Really?

Woohoo! More room for us! I hope their "big kids" get to make a trip sometime though; that's sad.

You don't know how many people ask me if our Disney annual passes include Universal!

This gem came from my DBF, 23 at the time (Jan 2008) waiting in line for his first-ever attraction on his first-ever Disney trip. I noticed he was huffing and puffing, and was worried he was overheating but didn't want to ruin the ride for us. We were in Test Track the Sunday night before all the kids went back to school, and it was unseasonably hot. We were all sweaty, and I was afraid he was dehydrating because he didn't want us to get out of the ridiculously long line. When I finally got him to admit why he looked so uncomfortable...

"I didn't know there were going to be lines here!!"

I busted out into hysterical laughs thinking surely he was joking. I've been a Disney nut my whole life, and definitely warned him of the lines! I said something along the lines of "of course there are lines, it's a separate attraction called the Line Ride! Only a few million people come here each year....don't worry, there will be less by the morning." Thankfully I was right and we've had many successful queues since! Also, the TT queue is so loud, and we're both jumpy people, so it truthfully was a bit of a long, unnerving wait.

Oh, Universal even spoofs itself with this. A few years back my wife and I were at Halloween Horror Nights at the live Bill and Ted show. Long story short, the opening part of the skit had Hellboy on the jumbo screen being told he was needed at Universal Orlando Resort. His response: "Universal? Which Disney park is that?"

These are so funny!!!!
But what's funnier is that there are so many people out there that think the same.......

A co-worker came back from a week in florida and told me.....
They had 4-day tickets to "DisneyLAND" and didnt really see how people would spend 4 days visiting "Disneyland".
And the one day and it was so crowded they decided to get on the bus to "Universal" but had to pay extra to get in.

I tried to explain that they were at Magic Kingdom and must have had to "pay" the additional fee to change their ticket into a "hopper". But she just didnt' get it.

They she went on to say she was disappointed because she thought there was a "Harry Potter" ride..... but "according to her"..... it just hasn't been built yet!! So they had to wait in line for an hour and half to get on a Buzz Lightyear ride.

Then she said that they didn't go to the "Animal Park" because they didn't want to pay any more because the Disneyland 4 day tickets cost so much.

I just gave up trying to explain it to her!

Not at WDW but the 'disney' one I get at least once a week - People ask me for something (in a disney store) and then to my reply of "I'm sorry, that isn't a Disney item" they go "Do you only sell Disney things in here then?" Clue is in the title surely?

Park related I always get asked if we sell the Universal and Sea World tickets too and often get genuine confusion when I explain we don't own those parks and can't sell the tickets. On the flip side of that I love it when people ask if you're going to EPCOT or Animal Kingdom or just Disney World.

I had a coworker argue with me. She was talking about how she went to Orlando and she went to Epcot, but didn't go to Disney. I was like Epcot is at disney too, she said no, the one with the castle is Disney, Epcot is seperate. I told her Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood studios are all considered Disney World. They call it 4 parks one world. She just wasn't having it lol. She still to this day calls MK disney. It just bugs me lol

On line to PoC, mother says to her son:

"The Pirates of the Caribbean ride was created after the movie was such a success!"
