4 people in an inside stateroom

It will be myself, DH, DD13 and DD4 cruising next summer. At this point I just couldn't bring myself to pay $7300 for a veranda room with murphy bed so I booked an inside stateroom. I was really wanting the murphy bed for my DD13 as she is tall. How uncomfortable/crowded do you think we will all be? I did get a deluxe inside room with 200 sq ft. (Going to keep an eye out for oceanview rooms to open upP.

Do you really spend much time in the cabin other than sleeping? If you do, it might be an issue. If your cabin is really for sleeping and dressing--no problem. We actually prefer the inside cabin to the oceanview on the Fantasy. The virtual porthole is fun.

In all honesty...you will be crowded but it is doable. But..did you try pricing out two inside or oceanviewc cabins that connect with an interior door....more room, cheaper than a verandah. You would have to put an adult and one child in each room on paper but you and your spouse could sleep in one room and the kids in the other...if you wanted.

You could really get 2 inside rooms for less than the price of a veranda room??? There is a $1300 prices difference between the two categories.

Maybe. Price it out and see. What is the date you are looking at?

Well, a stand inside stateroom for two people is $3,250 and a deluxe is $3,306.
Time that by two and it is still cheaper than the $7,300 for a veranda for 4.

If you're doing a 7 day cruise, 4 people regardless of age, in an inside stateroom will get old real quick. We did a just 4 day when our girls were younger and I swore never again . You'd be surprised how much time 4 people spend in the cabin, just getting dressed for dinner, the shows etc. But that's just us each family is different.

That's how we started out Disney cruising career... In an inside cabin with 4 people. We hardly ever spend time in there anyway and as the kids got bigger, they could dress themselves so quite often not all of us were in the cabin at the same time except to sleep.

The only thing I insist on is no deck 2 and we have to have a split bathroom other than that, I'm happy with an inside stateroom.

Of course, a balcony is very nice, but we usually are saying that we didn't use it enough by the end of the cruise.

We did connecting verdana rooms for 5 of us once. Made a big difference as I'm sure connecting inside cabins would.

I have an IGT for an upcoming cruise, 2A2K, and my concern is that I will get one of the smaller rooms and not one of the bigger ones. Does anyone know if those smaller rooms fit 4, or maybe they will have to give me a bigger room because there are 4 of us? This is on the Fantasy.

If you booked an IGT for 4 people, they have to give you a cabin that sleeps 4. The smallest rooms only sleep 3 (we had one for 2 of us, which was fine). However, you got a great deal on the IGT. By accepting that deal, you have agreed to cruise in literally any cabin on the ship that holds 4 people.

So far, all the recorded histories I've seen indicate that they are not using the smallest or other "less desirable" cabins to fill the *GTs. For instance, I've read of IGTs getting oceanview cabins and VGTs getting cat 4s.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I'm okay with the inside room - I think the virtual porthole will be cool - I just didn't want to be in a room that is so much smaller than the OVs and verandah rooms.

We chose 2 inside staterooms for our upcoming cruise. We plan to sleep the kids in one and us in the other with the door open. Hopefully this plan works. They are too young to be in a room by themselves, though.

we thought of getting a balcony, but this was cheaper *AND* we got two full bathrooms (not split, though)
