Talking Off to see Mickey MEOWS and Snow WIPE again!! A Nov 2012 PTR! W/Pictures

Off to see Mickey MEOWS and Snow WIPE again! Another Anderson family Adventure! Nov 2012 PTR

Words cannot even begin to explain how excited and happy I am to be here on the Dis-boards again. It’s been a REALLY long time! I hope to see a lot of old friends and meet even more new ones!:

Since I’m here that means I have OFFICALLY received the GREEN LIGHT from my husband to start planning our Disney Trip!! I did however have to agree that I would get myself in shape and would stick to a very tight budget up until the time we leave. I think these two requests are very reasonable and I am more than happy to oblige.

WHO

Me: (Deanna) 33 years Old. Stay at home Mom. This will be my 8th visit to WDW if my calculations are correct. The first time was for my high school graduation gift back in 1996 and the last time was back in February of 2010. DH and I also got married at the POLY back in 2001. As a matter of fact tomorrow June 14th is our 11 year anniversary!!!! Happy Anniversary Honey… I LOVE YOU!!!!!

((Sorry No recemt pictures of me for the time being))

DH: (Will) 36 years old. Investment Broker/loving husband and father. Loves Disney as much as I do, but will never admit it to his buddies. As far as they are concerned it’s all about Football, Red Meat, and Cars! Grrrrrrrrr!

DD: (Reya) 6 years old. Sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet. She wears her heart on her sleeve and will befriend anybody! This can be both a good and a bad thing. She just graduated from kindergarten a few weeks ago and is excited to start 1st grade at a new school this August. This will be her 3rd visit to WDW.

DS: (Jayden) 2 years old: Hmmmmm, how to describe Jayden??? He’s a loud, obnoxious, exhausting, rambunctious little boy to say the least. I love him to death, but he’s going to be the death of me, I just know it. Trying to keep up with him, keep him out of trouble, and keeping him safe is a FULL TIME Job. This will be his second visit to WDW… The first time he was only 3 months old. ((Wow, I miss those days when I could place him somewhere and he’d just stay)) Most moms can’t wait for their kids to start walking, NOT me! He has recently fallen in love with Mickey Meows and anything to do with Cars.

Up Next…….. What,Where,When,Why andHOW!

Ohhhhh, I forgot to mention…. I LOVE posting Pictures! Please be prepared for tons of past Disney Photos. I love to post them during my PTR’s so I can reminisce. Hope nobody has a problem with that.

When

November 10th-24th
November 10th- Drive (Stop in St. Louis for the night)
November 11th- Drive (Stop in Atlanta for the night)
November 12th,13th,14th- Disney
November 15th,16th,17th- Disney Cruise on the DREAM
November 18th,19th,20th,21st – Disney
November 22nd- Drive home (Stop in ? )
November 23- Drive home (stop in ?)
November 24th- Home

Some might think we’re crazy for driving 1800 miles to Orlando, but we’re used to it by now. Almost every trip we take involves a Road Trip. We just bought a fully loaded minivan a couple of months ago, so hopefully the ride will be smooth and the kids will behave most of the way with the built in DVD player??

((One of my favorite Road Trip Pictures… how cute are they?))

And this is why we normally Road Trip it… I pack WAYYYYY to much!

This will also be the first time that we’re doing strictly DISNEY!! Normally we add a few days and visit Universal Studios and Seaworld. I’m a little bummed that we’ll be missing the new Harry Potter area at IOA, but it was between spending extra days at other parks or taking a mini cruise. For me it was pretty much a no-brainer. DH and I cruised on the wonder 11 years ago for our Honeymoon, so I’m super excited to see the new Dream!

I’ve bought 6 day base Park Tickets. Since it’s November I don’t see us doing a lot of park hopping?

Up Next: Where did we get reservations. ((Fyi, I’ve stayed off site the last 3 visits))

HEY! You finally started a PTR! Now I can come visit you, too!

What a beautiful family, and such cute kids! You must be so proud - they are adorable! I personally love photos, so I say post away.

Let me be the first to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

I'll be following along.

Thank you so much, that's very kind of you! Hubby is at a Rockies Game right now and I'm at home with the kiddos... YAY! Happy anniversary to me!! That's okay though we had a few hours to ourselves last weekend and got to have a lovely Dinner and Movie Date. I'm hoping one day to renew our vows right where we did 11 years ago. Just going to have to plan a 2nd trip I guess.

I am very proud Except when they fight 20 times a day.

Thanks for stopping by. By the way I'm down a total of 9 lbs now!!

We saw Snow White and the Huntsman... Was pretty good. I could watch Chris Hemsworth alllllllll day long!!

Well that's 9 lbs in about a months time. I have however gone over 72 hours now without a soda. That might seem like nothing to most people but that's a HUGE deal to me. I'm pretty much addicted to the stuff. I drank about 5 sodas a day. The last three days have been filled with major caffienee (sp) withdrawl headaches. I'm hoping that will pass soon and that I won't slip.

Thanks.... And it was on sale for only $4.99. I love it!!!

130 Days till VACATION TIME!!!
11 Pounds GONE!!
3 weeks without a soda!!
Yay me!!

Anyway, there have been major changes to the road trip portion of our trip.
It's been decided that 13 hours in a car with the kids just isn’t practical. So, we’re going to add an extra day of driving. We’ll be leaving on the 9th after DH gets off of work. We’ll also be taking DD out of school an hour early( give or take.)

Reya knows we’re going to Disney World, but she doesn’t know when exactly. We’re going to tell her we’re going at Christmas time, that way she'll be surprised when we pick her up from school a month early to go to our happy place. Hopefully her reaction will be better than it was when we told her we were going to Disneyland.

New Plans:
November 9th
2:00pm- Will gets off of work.
2:45pm- Pick up Reya
3:00 pm- On the Road
Drive 5 ½ hours to Hays Kansas where we’ll be staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

11:15 pm- Estimated arrival in Hays.

We'll lose an hour due to the time zone change once we get into Kansas. I also expect us to stop for dinner somewhere and to have several potty breaks.

November 10th
6:00 am- Wake up
7:30 am- Free breakfast at hotel
8:00 am- On road
Drive 8 ½ hours to Fairview Heights Illinois, where we’ll be staying at Holiday Inn. (15 mins east of Gateway arch )
7:15 pm- Estimated arrival in Fairview Heights.

Depending on how tired we are we’ll either order room service for dinner that night or go to a local restaurant. Our hotel is surrounded by at least 2 dozen to choose from.

I’m still working on where we’ll be staying the 3rd night of our road trip. Originally we were staying in a city not far from Atlanta, but I’m thinking its best that we find somewhere past Atlanta so we don’t have to deal with bad rush hour traffic the next day. Also the closer we get to Disney the better so we don’t have such an exhausting day before when we arrive.

congrats on the 11 pounds!! and cutting out soda that is fantastic
Good idea adding the extra travel day sounds like the best choice and if you have the time then might as well do it.

Plans sound good! Our first few trips down to Disney we drove as well and stayed outside of Atlanta..We would stay in Marietta, which is before Atlanta and I would hate driving through the city the next day..GREAT idea to drive past the city, it should only only a half hour or so..

I love going to DTD after a long day of traveling! That's what we always do. I also love Trex but not sure my DS would till he's older. I hope your kids enjoy it!

Your plans sound great! I actually like driving to Disney (although you are driving much further than me). I think road trips are so fun. I look forward to hearing about your plans!!

We do too... We usually do DTD first and last.. Nice way to get a little disney in without wasting a 1/2 day at at park. I'm thinking if my some miracle if we get into Orlando earlier then expected maybe we'll add another day to our tickets when we get to our hotel and go to Magic Kingdom for a few hours. That's up in the air though. For less then $30.00 total it would be a good deal. I'm sure your son would like TREX, but all kids handle it differently.

I just made a MAJOR change to our trip. 2:00 this morning I decided to change a couple of things. Unfortunately it's costing us a litte bit more, but I think it'll be worth it. Right now I'm just waiting to hear from my travel agent to make sure she cancelled the first portion of our trip. I want to make sure I get a full refund on the deposit I made. Then I booked the new package by myself directly through Disney. Going through a travel agent has been the biggest mistake and stressful beyond my wildest dreams. I'm keeping the Cruise and 2nd portion of trip the way it is and through AAA. Everything seems to be okay, but it still worries me. I prefer to be in compete control of my vacations. I just hope Disney doesn't get confused. I have 4 seperate reservations with them with just this one vacation.
I'll post the new changes later today.

SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!
