The Frumps Have Hit the Wall... And No One's Mad. "FART SHOES." UPDATE 1/20
 Hey There Disboards, HOW YA DOIN'?  We would like to introduce ourselves as the craziest of the crazy, the most frumpy of the frumps, to bring you... THE FRUMPS HAVE HIT THE WALL... AND NO ONE'S MAD. "FART SHOES." Jess and Kristen's Trip Report from May 2012  That's right, people, you heard me, KRISTEN AND I ARE CO-WRITING THIS TRIP REPORT. You're welcome. Anything you see in this blue font is written by me, And anything you see written in this purple is written by me, Kristen! For those of you who don't know us....  HELLO. My name is Jess (on the right) and that's my best friend Kristen (on the left). We're both a little (okay.... we're like RIDICULOUSLY) obsessed with Disney. We like to title ourselves as "The Frumps." You may have previously read about our adventures to Disney in: The Port Report: Frumpin Around the World with the Bathrobe Princesses (: or "There’s NO Sleeping in Disney!” SURPRISE - The Frumps Are Back Again! If you haven't and you enjoy this trip report, you are always welcome to go back and read those! They're full of awesome stories as well as videos! Kristen and I were lucky enough to take our third trip to the world together this past May. We are so excited to share all of our adventures with you! Here's the Disney May 2012 Crew: Jess  Why, hello there. I'm Jess! I'm OBSESSED with Walt Disney World. I've been fortunate enough to go there at least once a year since I was a baby, so Disney is not only a theme park to me - it's a lifestyle. I'm 19 years old and I just finished my Freshman Year of college! I'm majoring in Theatre Performance and Communications Studies. I hope to do the Disney College Program soon... but I don't quite know when yet. Until then, I will keep going to WDW and learning as much as I possibly can about it, because ultimately I would love to end up working there someday! I love all of the classic rides, learning about how the parks came to be, noticing all of the Disney details, exploring all of the Disney resorts, and completely immersing myself in the Disney World experience every time I'm there. My favorite park is the Magic Kingdom, closely followed by Disney's Hollywood Studios. My favorite ride in all of Disney is TOY STORY MANIA! My favorite Disney movies are Tangled, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Toy Story 3. My favorite Disney resorts are Bay Lake Tower, the Beach Club, and Port Orleans French Quarter! I'm in love with Disney food. And Disney transportation. And my favorite Disney Princesses are Jasmine, Ariel, and Rapunzel. Kristen  Well hello there! I'm Kristen and I am a true believer in the Disney lifestyle. "Reality" and "real life" is what happens in between Disney trips. I'll be 17 years old this Saturday and I've been able to go to Disney World or Disneyland almost every year since I was six. I've been in love with everything from the concepts and Disney ideals to the magical details that you find everywhere you look. I cannot wait to do the Disney College Program in a couple years! I want so much to be a part of their magic-making experience every day. My favorite park on this trip was Hollywood Studios, but my all-time favorite is the Magic Kingdom. Who doesn't love a magical kingdom with a Castle. Seriously. My favorite rides are The Haunted Mansion, The Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain and Tower of Terror. My favorite Disney movies are Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Tangled, The Muppets, and The Princess and the Frog. My favorite Disney princess is Ariel because she is independent and follows her dreams no matter what. She is curious and totally fearless. My favorite Disney Resorts are the Yacht Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Port Orleans French Quarter. I am also in LOVE with Disney food. ANY and ALL Disney food. It's just all so magically delicious, like Lucky Charms, only BETTER. I also love Disney transportation, specifically the monorail. It's the best thing ever. I love all the resorts and their unique themes. Basically, anything beyond those magical gates of Heaven and I are on very good terms. So yeah. Enough about me. Scroll down and read about some more people! Mike and Katie  This is my brother, Mike, and his girlfriend, Katie. They are 19 and 20 years old. Mike has been going to Disney since he was eight years old. He loves it and all of the unique experiences that go along with it. He loves the food and the thrill rides. He loves the classic experiences that remind us of some really great memories from our childhood. He is a very talented artist, and would probably die of happiness if he got to be a Disney animator one day! He is an architecture/urban planning major and totally has an inner frumpy side. His favorite Disney parks are EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. He LOVES Toy Story Mania, DINOSAUR and Space Mountain. He loves the classic Disney movies like Aladdin and Toy Story. He is a great brother and such an awesome Disney companion. And boy can this kid EAT. Katie is Michael's girlfriend of over a year now, and this trip was her very first one to Disney World! She is a total sweetheart and was so fun to watch her taking all of it in! I loved watching her smiley, adorable face! She is like a sister to me and I love her to death. She is so nice. She loved the food in Disney as well! And I'm sure she appreciated the convenience of Disney transportation. Her favorite park is the Magic Kingdom, and she loved the thrills like Space Mountain and Soarin'! Her favorite princess is Snow White. She is a total princess herself and loves Aladdin. She was so fun to go to Disney with because she was so curious about everything and so happy to be there! Dave  Dave is my Dad, and he is a total Disney-lover. He loves the classic experiences and the food! He also loves to watch us all act like children and just have a blast. Typical parent-style. His favorite parks are Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. His favorite rides are Space Mountain, Toy Story Mania and Big Thunder Mountain. His favorite movies are Aladdin and ALL the Pixar films! He loved the fact that it wasn't so hot on this trip, as we usually go in June or July! Now that that's all out of the way, there are a few concepts that you all need to grasp before proceeding on this magical journey. First off, you may be asking yourself, what is a frump? Well, a frump is someone who is lazy, crazy, loves food, and/or is Disney-obsessed. Basically, Jess and I love food, especially Disney food. We wear t-shirts and Disney clothes all the time, and we go crazy when we're together. We're just a bundle of energy. So, if you fit into any of these categories, then, by default, YOU are a frump.  CONGRATULATIONS. Also, you may be wondering what that frumpy face is that Jess and I are making in that all-too-close-up picture up there. Just scroll up, you'll see it. THERE ya go. Hope you're not scarred. Anyways, the deer face is a face that one makes when confronted with really delicious food, the prospect of a future Disney trip, or really any frumpy circumstance. It just reminds us of a deer in a headlights. Just ask Jess, she hit one once. Trust me, you people make this face ALL the time and you don't even know it. And guess what? SO DO WE. We just have so much in common already! It's a beautiful thing.  Alright, so I think that's the majority of the background info you need on all of us. As far as this trip goes, here is the specific info:
Who: Me, Kristen, Mike, Katie, and Dave What: A TRIP TO DISNEY! Kristen and Michael went to Disney with their Dad last year, and this year they were each allowed to bring a friend. KATIE AND I WERE THE CHOSEN ONES. Where: We stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort! When: May 11th-16th, 2012 (And then I stayed on until the 19th, my Mom flew down, and we stayed at French Quarter. But we'll get there when we get there.) Why: BECAUSE WE ALL LOVE DISNEY!!  And if you're wondering about this title, it's a combination catchphrases that we could NOT stop saying throughout the trip. We're all frumps, obviously. "The Wall" refers to the food wall we hit when we had consumed more food than our bodies could handle. "No One's Mad" is the saying that gives us the excuse to do what we want. I don't really know how to explain that one... it just makes sense in context. It's kind of like YOLO only.... not. Despite my hiatus from the dis lately, I saw that you started this and had to comment to tell you how excited I am to read about your trip!
My sister and I were down there the week after you guys and all your live tweeting really put us in the disney spirit, so thank you! I can't wait to read all about the what I'm sure will be hilarious stories and fun adventures you two had together!

That's awesome how you guys ran into your CM friend, Pete again. I wish I had CM friends and you guys just have SOOOOO many. I need to chat with more of them more often. Time to up the anti on how many ADRs I make on trips. That might be beneficial!
LOL @ your picture on ToT, you guys are hilarious! And yeah, I'm pretty sure most people have charged their phones while in line for something. I definitely got to take note of that since my iPhone barely survives a day too. Love your photos with Buzz and Woody, though that is creepy he was mumbling. New York scarred me for life on characters in the suits talking *shivers* Thank goodness it only happens so rarely in Disney. Mmmmm, Cape May Cafe! Definitely on my ADR list for my next trip. Everything there just sounds so good! Oreo bonbons, clam chowder, crab legs... oh I need some more sustenance now. No wonder you guys hit a food wall there! All that goodness and then too much of it... I'm not sure I could handle that myself. Good thing you got through it okay... I think. Love the pin board they have there, very creative (: Can't wait to read more!

YAY! All caught up! Sorry I haven't commented on this in awhile. Life got a bit out-of-hand for awhile there, but NOW I have time so I can comment. Looks like this trip definitely seemed to get better! I'm so excited to hear about more.

Update #12: Bring on the MEAT!
May 13th, 2012 It was getting to be time for our lunch ADR at Le Cellier, so we checked in at the outdoor kiosk.  We moseyed on through the beautiful Canadian gardens.  DEER ALERT:  RE RE RE!  Those gardens are seriously some of the most beautiful grounds at WDW. They were done up so nicely for Flower & Garden!  We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Sheena was our waitress and she gave us the spiel for British Columbia, which included "Once Upon a Time," because that's where the show is filmed! I LOVE that show. Seriously. Mini rant: for those of you who religiously watch it...does anyone else find Aurora just a teensy bit annoying? LOVING the addition of Mulan though. And all of the crazy twists are just so crazy! I have a weird obsession with the Belle/Rumpelstiltskin relationship as well. Ahem. Rant's over! We decided to order strawberry and mango smoothies to drink. And by "we" I mean Mike, Katie and I. They were so delish! I love the smoothies at Le Cellier! We also ordered a bowl of Canadian Cheddar Cheese Heaven...I mean soup...to share with the table. Sorry if I hogged it, guys. I just can't control myself with that stuff.   Frump photo!  We're real precious. And pasty. ICK. Soon our bread and soup came, and we CHOWED. No food left behind!  I JUST WANT CHEDDAR CHEESE SOUP AND PRETZEL BREAD SO BAD RIGHT NOW.  We thoroughly enjoyed those, and most likely asked for more pretzel bread at least once. Pretty soon our entrees arrived! Dave, Mike and Katie all went with the New York Strip with cream cheese mashed potatoes. They all loved their steaks and those potatoes are just to die for. SOO good. Yeah when Mike tasted the filet, he was like "THIS CAN'T EVEN BE REAL! WHAT DO THEY DO TO IT!? It's so GOOD!!" The magic of Disney, folks.  I will say that the presentation is a little lacking here, but I don't think anyone cared. The real star of the show was Jess' and my entree. We ordered the mushroom filet, of course! I ordered mine with the risotto and Jess got hers with the cream cheese mashed potatoes. Both are SO incredibly delicious, but I'm a big sucker for some good risotto, and this stuff NEVER ceases to amaze me. It's perfect!   Mike kept stealing bites of my filet because it was just THAT good. YUM!  OM NOM NOM.  FRUMP. I actually have no recollection of who ordered what, but I know that Jess and I went with the classic Chocolate "Moose!"  I assume, knowing him, that Mike went with the seasonal sorbet, which I believe was lemon.  I am also pretty sure that Katie got the Maple Creme Brulee, which is always a winner!  And that would leave Dave with this beautiful cheesecake!  Our meals were all so delicious, but SO filling! I think I rolled right out of there. Sheena was an excellent server, and we all absolutely LOVED our lunch! After we regained consciousness from our food coma, as well as cell phone service, we decided to venture over to the UK, also known as my favorite World Showcase pavilion! While we were over there, we just HAD to pay a visit to the phone booths!   My homeland!  Okay, story time. The most magical/cutest thing ever happened at this point. I decided to call the other phone booth while inside the other one. I waited until there was a little girl in there, and when she answered and asked who it was, the first person who popped into my mind was Princess Aurora! She was SO excited at the idea that she was talking to a real princess on the phone, and I heard her say "Daddy, it's Princess Aurora!" She was SO cute and the whole thing just made my day. Update #12: "We Have a Story For You..." May 13th, 2012 We continued on our World Showcase adventure by browsing the shoppes in the UK.
 We saw Steve Twining in the Twining's Tea Shoppe. There was some press-like event going on there. As we made our way over to France, we saw Cinderella's and Aurora's topiaries on the bridge and we just HAD to stop for pictures. They were so beautiful!   It amazes me that they can actually make things grow into those shapes. My mind is blown.  Some French foliage and floral arrangements!  Next we saw the Beauty and the Beast topiaries!  These were so perfect, I couldn't believe them!  While we were over there, we saw that Aurora was out and that she had no line! We walked right up and we just HAD to tell her our story! I was all, "So, we have a story for you..." and although she seemed a little confused at first, she caught on quickly! We told her about the little girl in the phone booth and she was so excited! She said that she hoped she met her later! We posed for a pic:  Mike and Katie decided to say hello as well!  Next up were the Cogsworth and Lumiere topiaries!  They were so great! I love those guys.  The lush gardens of France:   So gorgeous and regal. Now is when you will all start salivating. Dave is crazy. He wanted YET ANOTHER dessert, even after the insanely fulling lunch we just had less than an hour beforehand. So, we went into Boulangerie and took some pics while Dave ordered his croissant or whatever he ended up having. I was too full to watch him eat it. Aaaanddd cue the drool!     Ohh the napoleons! And the strawberry tarts! SO HEAVENLY. After that torturous experience (both then and now) we explored the gift shoppe adjacent to Boulangerie. They had the cutest French Minnie Mouse plushes!  This is for Kara, Marie's biggest fan!  Mirror pic!  Berets for the win!   Our World Showcase adventure will continue! Stay tuned!   Continued in Next Post
