Dodge Caravan v Chevrolet Uplander
Hi all,
I am just looking at booking our Car hire for our Sep 2011 2 week trip, We are 5 adults + cases/holdall's + flight bags, The Dodge Caravan and Chevrolet Uplander I have found them for the same price, (Dodge Caravan £345 with USRENTACAR, Chevrolet Uplander £345 with Complete Orlando) This includes the standard insurance and includes myself to be the main driver at age 24, Out of choice which vehicle would you go for?

I didn't think the Uplander was made any more.
I know when we booked with Alamo (via USRentacar) for Las Vegas last year, we booked the Uplander size, as it was cheaper. When we got to the lot, all that was there were Dodge Caravans and Chrysler Town & Countrys. |

Our last trip we booked a dodge caravan with dollar via usrentacar and got a Chrysler grand voyager.
There was 6 adults and originally we had also booked a car as we didn't think we would get everything in (plus we thought we would have the extra car as we took the in-laws and though we may need to get away from them. lol) but just before we went we changed our mind and cancelled the car (if everything hadn't fitted in we would of got a taxi). We were really surprised when we got to the minivan to see how much space was in the boot, everything fitted in OK. |

Do you know you will also have a $25/day fee to pay locally age 24? on 14 days that will cost another £220 approx. That would put total upto £565
http://www.usrentacar.co.uk/young_driver_under_25.aspx Other option is to take a Budget 7 seater with Gold cover then add teh Young persons policy at £120, will cost £572, £7 more but you get a tank of gas included. Doesn't matter which car you book they all say "or similar" it will be a 7 seater, you have no idea which model.
