Yes, we planned the entire trip around where we would eat. Problem? Complete! 3/11!!

Hello there!

I just got back yesterday from the Tastiest Place on Earth!

My traveling party consisted of me (23), my mother (29 obviously), and my father (much older than my mother of course.) While this is my first full dining report (I did one review back around Christmas time) it is far from being our first time to the World. So come join us on our culinary adventure. We have the following stops on our tour (perhaps some more in case I forgot any.)

Casey's Corner
Aloha Isle

Citricos
Main Street Bakery
Yak & Yeti Local Foods (CS)
Margaritaville (I know it's not Disney, but it is tasty, and we're huge Parottheads!)
Tokyo Dining
Epcot Tasty Beverages and People Watching
Bistro De Paris
Prime Time Cafe
ESPN Club/Jellyrolls
Cape May Cafe
MK Snack
Gardenview Tea
Earl of Sandwich
Kona Cafe

Phew! That's a lot of food for 5 days

~~**Updated**~~
On 2/28-3/1 I headed down to "celebrate" my birthday at Disney! We have a new character added to the cast, my boyfriend. He hasn't been to Disney since the 7th grade...and he's dating me...poor boy

Added to the list:
Tangerine Cafe
Snacks at Epcot
Kona: Dinner
Kona: Breakfast
Wolfgang Puck Express

We totally did that on our last trip too! It was so much fun and forced us to relax and look at things while we were waiting for our ADR's.

I can't wait for the reviews!

Casey's Corner and Aloha Isle

Here we go! We got to the MK around noon, so our first stop was of course for lunch. The sole purpose of picking the MK for our first day was to get these little beauties:

I love Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey's. They're like little gems of joy! Terrific. The only problem is that while the nuggets are fantastic, I don't know what goes on with Casey's. There can be a short line and it always takes forever to get through the line. But it's worth it, let me tell you
Oh, and I always see people looking for tables right outside. Here's a little tip: if you go across Main Street and down, there's a bunch of yellow tables. It's right by a smoking section, but it never bothers me because those who smoke tend to stay right by the trash can and there are usually plenty of tables available. So while it was the chillest day of the trip for us, it still was gorgeous to sit and eat...

And in case you're curious, this is me:

We also took a stroll through the candy store on our way to Casey's. So while these aren't entirely restaurant related, they're still pretty close to food porn

After walking for a few hours, we decided to grab a snack. My Dad had a soft pretzel, my Mom had a twist Dole Whip, and I had a Pineapple Float Dole Whip. YUMM-O.

Very pineapple-y. So if you haven't tried one and you don't like pineapple, you may want something else! But if you like pineapple, then it's definitely worth it!

Next up: Citricos!

My goodness! I certainly missed a lot while I was gone! The good news is that I have more WDW food to share!

I'll edit the first post to include the new food.

I'm convinced to stay with Jiko. Citricos will go on the list for next trip.

This is the reason I'm hesitant to try 50's. I never finish my plate, & I don't want anyone force feeding me in fun or not. My family isn't into antics, when dining. I finally gave in & scheduled lunch at 50's for our next trip, because I want to see the decor. I really hope we get a laidback server.

Enjoy your time off!

I agree, they can definitely tell who's into the antics. And being "force fed" is never more than a bite!

I was seriously ready to die!!

anyways, enjoying your review, looking forward to more!

here is my pic

When I was there in August last year I couldn't finish my salad, so I got teased for not finishing my "greens." The whole plate was greens!

Oh...and you mean there are people who don't plan their trips around food? What is wrong with them?

The only Margaritaville I've been to is the one at the Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica...on the way home from our wedding.

The fried chicken at 50's is to die for!! Hubby got that and I had the salmon. I cleaned my plate and then kept picking at his chicken. It was just so good!!

We're thinking Cape May for our next character breakfast (hubby and I are pushing 40 with not kids and we insist on at least 1 character meal per trip). Sounds like a good choice.

Now I'm hungry from reading your report and I just ate lunch.
Haha, that's always my problem with this board

This past weekend my boyfriend and I went up to Epcot for my birthday...I planned the meals for that too.

I think we went down around the back and there was plenty of it, but I could be remembering that incorrectly.

Love the Norway bakery. Wish I had some school bread right now. I have seen it with the line out the door though.
Stay tuned, you just might see a picture!

We weren't on the DDP and I've never done the DDP, so I can't be certain, but this is my understanding. This was their menu:

If you look next to the egg rolls, there's the little purple symbol. I think that means it counts as a snack.

I know it's traditional to have tea between lunch & dinner, but I need to figure out a time that works for my DH & DS(17). They think they have to eat 3 meals a day.

I hope that's the case. We don't mind a server kidding around with us, but I draw the line at being force fed or yelled at.
With the tea, you don't have to go for all the courses. You can do the a la carte and get just the tea and then the tea sandwiches or the sweets. They also have a cheese plate. OR you can go at 2 and make it a late lunch. Then have a late dinner?

My husband and I are going back in November and I'll be pulling him to the Yak and Yeti CS! I haven't been back since it was put it. All your reviews are fantastic and I cannot wait to see what else you come up with! I must say, that I am a bit jealous that you've been to WDW sooo many times. Growing up in San Diego, I was able to go to Disneyland, which of course is AWESOME, but you get so much more out of WDW!! Keep it going, I'm looking forward to your next post!!!
You'll really enjoy the CS! I have been an awfully lot, but I'm sad now I have no planned trips! It's very disturbing.

Glad to see you liked Cape May. We are staying at BC and I want to try b'fast there. Last year, we went to Chef Mickey's - luckily, we had a better experience than you. I think I will definitely book Cape May this trip.
As I've mentioned (I think) previously, we've had some great experiences at Chef Mickeys, but it was just that last one in October that was awful. I much prefer Cape May now.

Earl of Sandwich

Alright...lets get back on track!

A quick review...

That evening my Mom went back home to pack for a trip, so my Nana and I headed over to DTD. While walking I decided I would love something "normal" to eat...to recap, that day I had eaten the breakfast buffet (so a lot of "sampling"), the popcorn, then the tea. So we decided to head over to Earl of Sandwich and split a sandwich! They're large enough, so it wasn't a problem. The line was pretty long when we got there, but it moved quickly and gave us time to decide on what we wanted. Nothing too heavy obviously!! We opted for the Club. And I totally forgot to take a picture of it It was plenty large enough for both of us and really hit the spot. I was starting to get jittery before that since I didn't have any normal food!! I've always liked Earl of Sandwich, think they have tasty food, quick service, etc etc. Good place.

We of course went into Goofy's Candy Company, so I'll use these shots as my bonus!!

I got one of the marshmellows, brought it home with me. Managed to make out quite fine in my purse

I just loved the Mickey Carmel Apples!!

Yum!

My dd and I love Casey's but we have never had thier corn dog nuggets. In May we are going back and taking our 12 year old cousin who is corn dog crazy. This is a must stop for all of us! Plus I can still share a hot dog with dd and steal one of our cousins nuggets -- so I get the best of both worlds.

I think maybe you need to order just one corn dog nugget so you can split it with everyone you're with. Just to taste their goodness

Enjoying your reviews and pictures!

I've found, and heard the same from others, that Disney wait staff often does that disappearing act around dessert time, both before and after. Not so bad when lingering over coffee, but if lingering over the last dregs of a Diet Coke and have already been in the restaurant a couple of hours, one tends to wonder where they disappeared to!

That's a great photo of your parents listening to the band, so nice they were playing a favorite song of your mother's at that time.

You have a great user name and avatar too....Figment and Dreamfinder are favorites of mine! Looking forward to the rest of your reviews.
