We had a great girls trip in williamsburg this weekend. Well, all except for yesterday's rain, but since I was the driver I didn't mind getting an early start home. The best part of the weekend was that the pool at the resort was open and it was 84 sunny degrees on Saturday. Sitting by the pool with an adult beverage was definitely an unexpected treat.

Oh - I am subbed to a June car rental code and just booked a standard car for 10 days @ $217 with taxes. I'm pretty happy about that!

So family IS coming. Hopefully it all works out and is a load of fun! I'm glad to hear LJ is making it!!

Your update on the American Adventure gave me chills just seeing the pictures again! We haven't seen it since '09! Little ones don't do well in there, unless you plan it with nap time. Perhaps we can do it on our February trip, I'd love to see it again!

Well I don't have any first-hand knowledge to say that it takes 10 years...I just threw a number out, but I think it is several years before it starts looking like a bonsai.

Hey Brook - thanks for stopping by. I had another fun trip to Williamsburg. I love that place! It's my Disney substitute because of the great variety of things to do.

I checked out your blog and it sounds like you had a fab time. I really need to get to DC again. I haven't been there in such a long time. I need to fit it in somewhere.

I am very glad they all decided to come and I am especially glad that LJ is coming because he was such a breath of fresh air a few years ago. I know he's older now, but hopefully he will love it just as much.

These are all awesome suggestions and I already had a few of them on my list, so I'm glad I am on the right track! I have always wanted one of those ice cream sandwiches!

It was a great weekend. Saturday was unbelievably nice and they already opened the pool! I only live about 4 1/2 hours north of Williamsburg, but I can guarantee you there are no open pools here. Bonus! Score!

Hi DIS friends -

I have to admit that after working on this TR since October, and writing about Williamsburg, HHI, and WDW, I am starting to get a bit tapped out. It's been a busy month and I've started exercising everyday. That definitely pulls me away from the computer more. The good news is I am starting to get my waist back and that is never a bad thing!

But I AM going to finish this TR and it is traditional for me to do a list a "Firsts & Favorites". Only I am going to incorporate it into a trip review.

So let's see how far I get, shall we.

Oh - wait - remember that $217 rate I got on a standard car for June. Well I just rebooked yesterday with some codes I found in the June rental car thread and I got a standard car for $147 through Alamo (10 days and including all taxes). I seriously don't believe I can get a car that cheap, so I'm going to keep a backup reservation just in case. But in the meantime - Can I get a woo hoo! That's a lot of Disney drinks we're talking about.

There are some other developments in the June plans, but I'll save those for later. You didn't think I would make it to June without more drama, did you????
