    Budget Scrapbook Organizing

I agree with mombare, it's an evolving process. Right now I have my paper stored in those cropper hopper vertical paper holders. They are about $7 a piece but you can probably get them at Michaels, ACMoores or Joanns with a coupon. I think Oriental Trading sells them also. You could also...

Who Should Pay to Replace This Carpet?

I think your mother should use the pet and/or security deposit to replace the carpet. This type of situation is exactly why landlords collect security deposits. The tenants accepted the bleach stained carpet when they moved in and aside from normal wear & tear they are supposed to vacate the...

Can You make an ADRs without a Reservation Number?

Yes, you can use your phone number for a reference number.

How far in advance do you start packing?

It depends on the flight - day & time. If it's an early flight or I have to leave for the airport right from work, I'll pack the night before. If the flight is later in the afternoon on a day I am not working, I'll pack that day.

What would you think of an adult only hotel at WDW?

While the idea is semi appealing, it will never ever happen. However, I would love to see some adult only areas in resorts, especially a pool and a lounge area. There's nothing like unwinding after a long day in the parks in the hot tub while kids are splashing and trying to swim laps.

    Why do a split stay?

We are DVC so Friday & Saturday nights cost more points so we might stay at a moderate on a Friday and check in to the DVC resosrt on Saturday to save some points. We also do split stays when we add on a day at the last minute. We also did a split to check out CSR one trip - I wanted to check...

    wifi?

CSR has wi-fi available in public areas like the pool or lobby since it is a convention resort. In the rooms, there is only wired high speed internet access. It costs $9.95 for each 24 hour period. I am not sure if the charges for wired & wireless access are separate or are interchangeable...

    checking facebook in wdw

I was going to suggest the same thing. DH or I used them a couple of times before we got a laptop. I think some of the resorts have wi-fi in public areas like the lobby or pool - maybe ask at the resort when you check in. Have a great trip!

Tipping at a restaurant where the food is expensive, but the service is just normal

I don't think it does when it comes to tipping. Having it included in the price of the meal or as part of a prepaid meal plan the amount of the tip is out of the diners' hands.

Tipping at a restaurant where the food is expensive, but the service is just normal

You would think so, but so many people complained about poor service when tips were included with the Didney dining plans because they felt the waiters/waitresses didn't think they had to earn them since they were pretty much guaranteed. I have been places were tipping was either included...

    Question about airline sales

Airlines don't generally have sales like that. I have heard and found to be true that fares can be lower when you purchase midweek vs. the weekend. You can use a farewatcher site (kayak.com is one I had luck with in the past) to watch for changes in fares for a particular trip. You will...

Tipping at a restaurant where the food is expensive, but the service is just normal

I don't think it matters how expensive or inexpensive a restaurant is, the tip is still based on a percentage of the bill. The average is actually 15%, not 20%, but the percentage is a personal decision everyone makes. It's been my experience the more expensive the restaurant the more...

If you don't do the dining plan...

We don't purchase the dining plan because they don't suit how we eat and I like having the option to cancel an ADR without basically forfeiting the money we paid to Disney for that meal. We just budget for food for our vacation like we would if we went anywhere else. As it's been pointed...

Has anyone actually done the math on DDP v. paying OOP?

We probably spend a little more by going out of pocket but we are eating food we want to eat versus what is offered by the plan. The best way to figure it out is to go through the menu and see what you will most likely want to eat and how that stacks up to the cost and offerings of the DP.

    How long does it take?

I would check to see if the charge went through on your credit card. If so, I would give Disney a week or so to post the payment to your account. If it's still not there, then I would give them a call.

    Pepper Market worth a trip?

Of all the meals I have had in Disney, the one I had at the pepper market was my least favorite of all time. You are seated by a host and a waitress takes your drink orders and gets your refills. I didn't like that b/c I drink a lot with meals and I always had to look for her. You then go to...

Anyone else pleased at Disney food prices?

I think their counter service places are fairly priced and not too much more then I pay here for something similar. I find their TS prices to be high based on what is offered and served. I live in NY, NY so it's not exactly sticker shock since a meal out here could cost the same as it...
