    Trading Southwest/Airline Points ?

I Thought I would post here for suggestions. My DW and I have a bounce back trip schedule for September for free dining. Our first trip without kids, as our youngest is headed off to college. (bittersweet) Last weekend, I won a brand new iPhone Xs at a conference, but I really don't need it...

    Park shoe recommendation

I take well-broke-in pair of walking shoes (Kirkland, usually) PLUS I bring two alternate pairs (sandals & crocs) and never wear the same pair two days in a row.

    Space mountain and motion sickness

I don't think motion sickness is as tough as the ride is itself. Since it's dark, the turns are a surprise and you get jerked around a lot. The ride kind of beats you up when you're an adult.

    Too many days at Disney?

We try to do 9-10 days, with 8 days in the parks. We'll dedicate 1 full day to each park, take one day off to relax and recuperate at the resort and Dismey Springs, the we park hop for the next 4 days, usually starting a little later in the day (10-11 am). Since our kids are now teens, we love...

    Park rules - selfie sticks

I wish I had the picture i took from out last Disney trip, We were trying to watch the electric Parade and off course the place was packed. I took a picture of the crowd in front of us -- There were probably 50 selfie sticks being held of to record the parade, all of them (and the iPads too)...

    Senior pictures at Disney World?

Our son is graduating next spring. We've talked about all the beautiful places near where will live to take senior pictures, but none of them speak to him. BUT we are going to Disney World in September. Has anyone done senior picture at Disney? One thought was to get a photopass and just get...

    Port Orleans Royal Rooms?

Not that I'm aware of - there is always a premium charged for these rooms, although sometimes people get upgraded to them at no additional charge. We stayed in a Royal room and it's very pretty. I personally wouldn't pay extra (we got upgraded), but some people, especially those with young...

Headed out in 6 weeks to POR - Changes due to Gator attack?

Hi everyone - we're headed out to POR in about six weeks and wondered what, if any changes have been made at POR in response to the recent alligator attack? I understand that some fencing has been put up at GF and Poly, but there's no significant bodies of water around POR and nothing...

Heartbreaking news...a big reminder to be aware of wildlife on property

No, gators can't chew. If the prey was larger, they will drag it under, drown it and once perished, they will stash the body and wait for days to come back after decomp has set in and then then tear the prey apart more easily.

Child pulled into water by alligator near Grand Floridian

I just read that there was an alligator attack on a 12-year-old boy at Ft Wilderness in 1986. His 10-year-old brother was able to beat on the alligator and get him to release the brother and he survived with lacerations and puncture wounds.

Child pulled into water by alligator near Grand Floridian

I get so sick of hearing that hear in Colorado. "The bears were here first", as if humans are an off-planet species that have invaded the planet. We are all God's creatures and as the pre-eminent species, we develop and push other species out of the areas that we work in. Sometimes we...

Child pulled into water by alligator near Grand Floridian

Disney is no more responsible for this one-time gator attack than it would be from someone dying from a lightning strike. It's Florida. Yes, Disney constantly looks, finds and relocates gators larger than 3 feet, but everyone knows there are gators in Florida, just like everyone knows there...
