Recommend a good book for me please.....

I second this- I loved that book! Also, The Plain Truth by Jodi Piccoult, anything by Kristin Hannah, Barbara Delinsky, Nicholas Sparks, Marcia Willet...I love to read, and could keep going and going, but you've got enough good suggestions already! Have fun! :goodvibes

    Good restaurants in Sanibel?

McT's is pretty good, and more of a family-type restaurant than some places there. I've eaten there several times over 3 trips. Have a good time-I love it there! Also, the Crow's Nest at Tween Waters on Captiva has NASCRAB races on a Monday night-lots of fun for all ages, and the food is...

Going To Captiva Is., Fla. What to pack?

We've stayed here a few times...check out the NASCRAB races in the pub there-it's a hoot! It's called The Crow's Nest. If you are into nature, don't miss the Ding Darling Refuge-you can drive through it if you don't want to park and walk. It's beautiful. Sweaters and capris will be fine...

Going to Cabela's, looking for some info...

I second the suggestion to eat at the Cracker Barrel restaurant nearby...the food at Cabela's is not so good. Cracker Barrel is yummy, and you can shop there, too!

    Piano lessons~ cost

I pay $11 per half hour for a private lesson for each of my children at the teacher's house. That does not include their books and materials, but sounds like a great deal compared to some of the prices on here. She is a certified music/elementary teacher, and is teaching my daughter piano and...

    Rehoboth Beach, Del?

Lewes is a nice little town...you could spend a morning or all day there. Nice little shops and restaurants, the Zwaanendaal (I'm sure I spelled that incorrectly!) Museum. Coffee and pastries at Notting Hill, there is a great ice cream place. Some good restaurants in Bethany Beach...

Yeah, Candlelight Processional Narrators listed....boo, no Gary Sinse???

I thought Monique Coleman did a very nice job last year. It is a pretty awesome show, no matter who narrates, IMHO. :goodvibes

    Romantic Florida Vacations.....

Song of the Sea on Sanibel- very romantic...however, not the Ritz, but still nice. Tween Waters on Captiva. Cute cottages, nice bayview rooms. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE both of these places!

    Table for one...pity party

That was so rude of that person to say that to you. :( Hope you feel better soon-you are one of the sweetest people on the DIS! Take care of yourself, and if that means cookies AND ice cream for dinner, then go right ahead! I'll say a prayer for you and your DH. :goodvibes

Best detergent for stinky gym clothes?

Don't try to cover the odor with smelly detergents...use a strong detergent like Wisk that is free of dyes and perfumes, then add baking soda to the wash cycle and a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Hang outside to dry, or air dry-don't put in dryer! Good luck!

Help - Red koolaid on the carpet

Spot Shot works pretty well. (Carpet stain remover in a can) Red dye #40 is a real booger to get out of anything, though. Good luck!

    Harrisburg PA???

BTW- while you're at Chocolate World, be sure to try one of the big chocolate chip cookies at the bakery downstairs-YUM! The ride has been renovated in recent years, too, so if you haven't been for awhile, it might look all new to you! Have fun!

    Harrisburg PA???

In Harrisburg? Hmmm-not so much to do...Whitaker Center (museum, IMAX), Civil War Museum...not far down the road is Hershey PA. Chocolate World, town Trolley tour, Hotel Hershey-awesome food and spa, Hersheypark, Zoo America, Hershey Gardens, Hershey Museum. I'll keep thinking about it. Have...

My son and I also have problems with sunblock. (Rashes, eczema, etc) I recommend the Baby Blanket Sunblock. http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=534591&parentCategoryId=100180&categoryId=100182&subCategoryId=100183#products I think I've also gotten it at...

I also wear my Caymans with ankle socks when at the World. Most definitely not a fashion statement, but very comfortable!
