Crazy to leave at 3am for flight?

Haven't posted in forever, but...we also live about a 2 hour drive from Albany. Always take that first flight, and have done it both ways--driving and staying at the Comfort Inn near the airport. Driving makes me edgy--even though we leave enough time, it's wicked early and stuff happens...

    MNSSHP - Wedding Dress?

OK--wedding professional here. I have worked in the bridal industry for almost 20years. Harlow is a beautiful gown--congrats on a lovely choice! As far as wedding gowns go, not terribly heavy--I don't think that will be an issue. I'm assuming that you will have a bustle put in the gown for...

Which Park do you do first????

We usually arrive late morning/early afternoon, check-in, settle in (we've been very lucky with our cabin being ready), and then heading to Epcot. My kids' reaction upon seeing Illuminations their first night: WOW!! Do they do that every night?!!

    Help with first day!

We're taking my parents (ages 70 and 76) to WDW in Dec., arriving in the am on Sun Dec 7. We're staying at FW in a cabin. I have three options, in no particular order: 1) Go to Epcot for the afternoon and evening. See CP and Illuminations 2) Go to DHS (late EMH), again arriving in...

A Daily Lesson in Parenting and Manners: A TR by a real life Wicked Stepmom!

Dear MissCammie--I've been lurking on your trip report since the very beginning, but every time I've started to post I've gotten a severe case of the "shys" for some reason. As a fellow step-mom who also dealt with a less-than-smooth (how's that for understatement!!) relationship with our...

WDW Wall Map's from Resorts in 70's

I'm having trouble finding this site; I've searched and searched--Google does bring up this thread, though!! Could someone please post a direct link, or give me a hint as to what to search for? (Honestly, I'm not usually this clueless!)

    Fort Wilderness Cabins info

We plan on renting a cart this trip to view everyone's Christmas light displays (just for 1 night) since you can't use your car as transportaion within the campground. This is new for us--in the past we've only gone in the summer.

    Fort Wilderness Cabins info

Hi there! We LOVE the cabins for many of the same reasons that made you choose them. Our past 2 trips have been with our 3 kids (all "adult" age--well, this last trip they really were adults:banana: ) The cabins are very spacious and comfortable, and having a fully equipped kitchen was...

    Do you tip Mousekeeping?

We tried!! We left the cash on the table with a note saying that it was for them and thank you. Some days it was gone, some days it was still there?!

Reservations just for dinner - or lunch too???

I've never had reservations for lunch because we always eat counter service for our mid-day meal. I always have reservations if we're eating a table service dinner for 2 reasons--I like having a plan, and I've seen too many people turned away at the podium.

    arrival day

We always go to a park on arrival day. We drive, and plan our arrival to be late morning. We check-in, have lunch, and then head out--usually to Epcot. Tour, have dinner at a World Showcase restaurant, watch Illuminations, cry, laugh at the fact that I'm crying...

    December 2008 Code Watch

I took the plunge last night!!:cool1: I had received a pin code, and had hoped that it would work for our dates, but no such luck. We'll be in a cabin at Fort Wilderness (which we love) from Dec7-14. Still hoping for a discount, but if not....we're booked and going to WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

    Let's talk about Boma

I have 3 step-kids who have never been very adventurous when it came to food. Our first trip, in 04, I booked with much fear and trepidation. The summer of 07 ws a slam-dunk (sorry-watching basketball as I post); this is a must-eat every trip!

Planning turns your brain to mush

OK--I've researched the prices for our top choices for our post-Thanksgiving-pre-Christmas-thanks-for-everything-you've-done-for-us-over-the-years trip for my parents. I've priced everything room only, with MYW, with dining, with deluxe dining, with tax, without tax (yeah-right :lmao: )...
