Dec. 2010, 35th Anni., Help me pick outa 4 CL choices.

My picks in order of my preference: Poly AKL CR GF There is no such thing as a club level GF room with a magic kingdom view, at least that is what I was told during our most recent stay last month. We got a peek at the fireworks but no castle. Poly- great lounge, great staff, and...

    HDDR seating question

Last year we sat in cat 2 floor using the dining plan and our seats were great! In the past we sat in the balcony along the side and we thought those seats were great, too. In retrospect they were probably considered some of the "worst" seats in the house but they were still good. I don't...

    SIAP-Grand Floridian To Have a Campfire/Singalong/Movie Nightly

No characters at the BC campfire/movie last summer. I'll be at the GF this summer and will report back about the campfire if no one else does before then. Come to think of it, I can already guess what I will say- "The GF campfire was nice and all but it just doesn't have the same great...

    SIAP-Grand Floridian To Have a Campfire/Singalong/Movie Nightly

The beach club has a nightly movie and campfire w/ s'mores as well. It was nice and all but I wouldn't really compare it to the one at the Fort because it was a beach setting and had a completely different feel about it. The poly didn't offer movies when we were there a few months ago.

Taking kids out of school for Disney

My ds's kindergarten teacher not only didn't mind, but she thought it was a wonderful idea. She just told us what she would be covering. Our kindergartener kept a journal of the trip and shared it with his class when he got back. It was fun :) Another consideration for me is how easily the...

Are Pool Towels Provided in Cabins?

We were just there last month and the cabins did not specifically have pool towels. The pools did not have any pool towels, either. Housekeeping left an abundance of regular towels each night so we just took those to the pool but next trip we'll bring our own beach towels.

Beach Club movie night vs. Ft. Wilderness?

I just got back from FW a couple weeks ago and went to the campfire and sing-along while there. Last time I was at the BC movie night was this past summer. 1. Do they give you a schedule of which movies they are showing on which nights for BC and Ft. Wilderness? Yes 2. If we had to choose...

    Just paid final Payment

We just got back from our first trip and stayed in a cabin in the middle of the 2800 loop. We didn't request anything, we just hoped for the best and couldn't have been happier with our cabin. It was wonderful and backed up to a wooded area :goodvibes The location was perhaps not ideal for...

Back from first trip and I'm hooked!

Funny, my dh was also in the Army and he isn't into tent camping, either. The cabin was a great fit for us though. To get me to go for it he just had to tell me it was something he wanted to try AND that his coworker he knows very well and trusts tried the cabins and liked them a lot. That was...

Back from first trip and I'm hooked!

We just got back from our first ever trip to the Fort and can't say enough great things about the vacation! We stayed in a cabin and it was absolutely fabulous. We (my husband, two young sons and I) loved everything- the golf cart, the cabin, the fishing, the grilling, the boat rental, the...

Did anyone buy DVC without staying there first?

We bought BCV without having stayed at a DVC property on WDW proper. We did stay at Hilton Head and Vero Beach but that was long (5+ years) before we ever considered buying into DVC. I don't know if we have any regrets or not b/c we haven't taken a vacation since we bought our resale a few...

HE washers at the Beach Club?

A high efficiency (HE) washer uses very little water and therefore requires laundry detergent that is low sudsing (labeled HE on the package).

    Contemplating purchasing?

One other thing to consider is the type of accomodation you need now and in the future. In my case, although we would have been happy simply getting discounts on deluxe rooms for now, there will be a time that our family will definitely appreciate having separate bedrooms. Plus, we can invite...

OT: anyone have a baby on Nutramigen formula?

My first son was on Nutramigen (for milk protein sensitivity) until he was approx nine months old. We tried to switch him from Nutramigen to Good Start at 6 months of age (per the pediatrician) but he was not ready yet and shortly after introducing Good Start the screaming/crying started again...

Garden Grill family platter vs kids meal on DDP

We want to eat at the Garden Grill using the DDP for three adults and two young children. My preschoolers won't be interested in the kid's meals but would love the bread, veggies, and rotisserie turkey from the family platter. My question is, can kids eat from the family platter at the...

Le Cellier review (dining plan). Terrific!

It has been so long now that I don't remember the menu but apparently the cheese was offered to us somehow. I know for sure I didn't ask for anything that wasn't on the menu. I believe things have changed in that now many restaurants clearly state which items are available (or not) with the meal...
