Exactly. What some people find crude others find amusement. It doesn't make one any better than the other, just different. And if we all agreed *all* of the time things would get boring pretty quick and we wouldn't have discussions allowing us to show our POV and perhaps even open up the...

And no matter where we go, in the world, the www, etc we are always going to run into mean people. Here it's just slightly sanitised and "safer" (for lack of a better word) than other websites. And maybe that's the downfall of not being able to tell someone outright they're being a jerk...

I hear ya- when I was pregnant with DD I was part of a group that went on until she was about 5 and the site had this blow up. The group wound up starting another site and we're still going strong and for that I'm happy. And when the first site blew up, it hurt, a lot. And it feels like that...

Exactly, I never joined the clique groups either. Maybe I should have and formed better friendships and I wouldn't feel so torn and making the leap would be easier. Who knows.

Variety is good, but I guess what it boils down to for me is I'm not sure I fit in on either one anymore.

This is exactly how it is for me. I'm not friendly with anyone outside of the boards, but I miss the familiarity and the fun.
