Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Just returned from a Dec 5th - 10th stay at WDW. First, let me preface by saying We had a great time and weather during our stay at the AKL. Also, I am not against change, but sometimes things just shouldn't. The arguement is to keep things fresh, but those beloved 10 year old attractions are ...

    Basic booking question

I have made many bookings, but never right at the 11 month window to the day, For simplicity sake, lets say I want to book a room from February 1st-5th. My 11 month booking window starts March 1st. Can I book all 5 nights on March 1st? or, do I have to walk the booking and make 5 individual...

    Epcot Dolphin Experience

For what its worth, I had done it a number of years ago so I am not sure how much it has changed. Like the PP, I also do the Dive Quest on each trip. A week at Disney and get a dive in, the best of both worlds. We did get a backstage tour of all the facilities both inside and out. We then...

Does Animal Kingdom Lodge have Two Home resorts?

I am not arguing the point that it is a glitch of some kind, but for legal/paperwork reasons isnt your name associated with a specific room in one of the two resorts when you bought in. Perhaps this is where the problem is originating.

    Other vacations than DVC

"I’m kind a curious as an dvc owner do you vacation other places than dvc if so where do you go?" For many years, we took yearly(some times twice yearly) trips to WDW. About 11 years ago, I took up Scuba diving. So now, we go to WDW every other year, and alternate with dive trips to Micronesia...

    Magic Kingdom train tour?

Your welcome Jasmine, As far as how soon to book it, there really is not a good answer except as soon as you can if you know you definitely want to take it. We booked it about a month out and it looked as if our tour was close but not completely full. A lot depends on the time of year, the tour...

    Magic Kingdom train tour?

We did the tour on January 31st 2018. There is an early bus going to the MK despite what most sources say(they usually say 1 hour before park opens) . We were leaving from the the AKL Jambo and the front desk CM told us that they do start earlier. I am not sure if it was 6:00 or 6:30 AM, but we...

    FP vs ROL dining package

Robo, Thank you very much for the update. That was a real eye opener, I can just picture our surprise when we would of arrived. I now know we will either have to try and get lucky for a fast pass latter in the day(for pocahontas) or at the very least arrive early enough to get a seat on the left...

    FP vs ROL dining package

Thanks CAS239, You have confirmed my suspicions. The first year they offered the package for Fantasmic, we did it and was seated in a section all the way to the right side facing the show.(Not sure if it has changed since).Guaranteed seating yes, but we much prefer to be as centered as possible...

    FP vs ROL dining package

Hey there, We have not been to the parks since the Rivers of Light show started. We already have FP's for it, but is there a significant difference in the quality of view between the FP seats and the dining package seats? We are also on the dining plan but have reservations for a non package...

    Let's Talk Backstage Tours!!!

Ok, then how about "Backstage Magic". I am not sure of the current cost and it is about a 7 hour tour(things may have changed since I last took it), But, it covers all 4 theme parks. At Magic Kingdom, it overlaps much of the KTTK tour plus some things you do not see on that tour. The group is...

    Let's Talk Backstage Tours!!!

Your mom(and yourself) may enjoy the "Behind the seeds" tour which is a walking tour version of the boat ride in the land pavilion. It is $25/person, lasts 1-1/2 hours depending on your groups pace and number of questions. You get up close to everything and see some things you dont see on the...

Epcot'S Club Cool ~ Yay or Nay?

Like all the others, definitely worth the stop. However, I preferred it when it was themed as "Ice station cool" complete with real snow and a snow cat sitting outside.

    Walk from AK to AKL?

Not really. While the theme park is just next door, there is no walking path to it. The only way would be to walk down Oceola Parkway. And that would be a hike let alone dangerous.

Best Thing you have done that was an Extra Cost Experiences like Dessert Parties, etc.

1.Dive Quest- scuba diving in the Living seas. If you are not certified , try the "Aqua seas Tour" 2.Dine with an imagineer- They rotate imagineers so every time I did it it was interesting. One of the best was actually the vice president of operations at WDW. Interesting to hear from that...

    Epcot Sea Adventures Aqua Tour

I have not watched other groups in the water, but I would say yes. What viewing guests cant see is a small overhang above the windows so if the swimmers are close to the windows you may not see them as well though. But further out should be no problem. Tell them to try and duck their upper body...

    Epcot Sea Adventures Aqua Tour

Like the pp, I took this about 10 years ago also. One fair warning though. If they do do this, they risk catching the bug, and by that, I mean the scuba diving bug where they will want to get certified and you will have to go Caribbean and south pacific trips for years to come. Oh the horror! I...

What's your favorite dining "hidden" gem?

My hidden gem is at Sunshine seasons in the land pavilion. At one of the counters, there were portions of a sub like sandwich cut from a much larger sandwich. It was on a kaiser roll type bread and was about 5 inches thick and loaded with cold cut meats, cheese, toppings and some sort of special...

    Dolphins in Depth..?

I did this many, many years ago, so I'm not sure how much it has changed if any. The first part of the tour is spent in a backstage classroom where you learn about dolphins, conservation and the Disney program. You may also get a small tour as you head backstage. You then go on stage to the...
