Mousefan1972, what building were you in? The first one looks like Conch. At least you got the good view the second night. Were you able to see the EWP from that room?

I did ask about the extra $17 and the CM was pretty clueless. I asked her if that was the tax and she said "it must be" Since I wasn't too confident with her answer I thought I'd check with the "real experts" on this board:)

Has anyone gotten a cabana recently? I understand that the price is $100 from 10-2. However, when I called to reserve I was told that the price for that period, including tax, was $117. Unless my math was way off, that seems like a lot of tax. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

Yes. From what I recall they tag your bags with the name of your new resort. You are also given a receipt. The luggage transfer was the easiest part of the split stay. Packing and unpacking was another story...We would still choose to do a split stay because to us it felt like you were...

We've done a split stay several times. Disney will move your luggage for you. Just tell the bell hop where to take it and it will arrive within a few hours. Enjoy your trip!

We've never stayed at AKL or the AKV, but are seriously considering it for our trip in July. We have young kids so normally we stay in one of the MK or Epcot resort. However, this time we want to try something new. The villas and resort at AK look amazing! We will be getting a 1 br sav view...
