    Wastes of Space

A combo would save so much down time waiting in line, freeing up Guests to do much more and spend more cash throughout the park. You could take the elephant flying to a whole new sensory dimension, and it would be awesome!! YMMV I suppose. WDW needs to be less carney, more modern day theme...

    Wastes of Space

We won WWII and sent a man to the moon...I think Imagineers can solve this one. ::yes:: Just set up a ride track and move through different sets, with video/audio and the latest technology and effects. Disney is good at transitions through various lands, so why would this be a problem for...

    Wastes of Space

To me the Mexico ride is incredibly stereotypical and somewhat insulting. But I suppose so was some of WED's classic animation as it pertained to people of different cultures...go figure. I'll update my previous post with specifics comments on Magic Kingdom MK - Close/Demo and Replace...

    LeCellier recently?

Not sure...we go for the soup, bread and Moosehead. :thumbsup2

    LeCellier recently?

Lunch this past weekend. Excellent as always, and highly recommended.

    Wastes of Space

WED was about moving ahead, tweaking, always improving. I think he would be angry in regards to many of the dated, old attractions already named in this thread still being in his World.

    Brazil tour groups

Just returned from what is probably our last January visit to WDW. We love this time of year, but it's become difficult to enjoy and relax due in large part to the BTGs. All the behaviors already mentioned...line cutting, shouting, pushing, lack of respect for personal space, etc....And the...

    Home and exhausted...crowd report

This thread is full of what I call "quality problems". :)

So just why is Disney raising ticket prices so early

Seems like a minor bump in prices this year.... Still glad I bought 10 day no-expiration Park Hoppers early last year!! :thumbsup2

All VGC or split it up?

OK - looks like we are landing on the following plan...would welcome any suggestions, criticisms, expressions of disbelief, casting of aspersions, etc... Day 1 (Sunday) Fly to LGB, 2PM arrival Limo service to VGC (decided to stay for whole trip!) Dinner at Storyteller's Cafe Evening -...

All VGC or split it up?

What would you do?: 5 nights at VGC, with 3 days at DL/CA and a few side trips (maybe Universal, San Diego, etc) or 2 nights near Universal and 3/4 nights at VGC I guess the primary question is do you consider Universal worthy of a carve out stay, or should we base ourselves at VGC and...

    3 days enough?

Just wrapped up the latest WDW visit and now looking ahead to a DL/VGC visit in August 2011. Integrating the AP blackout calendar into our planning, and one more question: Any thoughts on whether or not the D23 Expo will have an impact on either DL crowd levels or VGC capacity during the week...

    WWoHP wayyyyyyy underestimated??

Personally no interest in neither the HP books nor movies (or any of the merchandise), but I hope WWHP is massively successful and drives a lift in revenue for USF so they can improve the existing attractions in the parks, and build new non-HP rides. For now, or the next six months, I have no...

A moment of silence for IOA and UO, BHP (Before Harry Potter)

Now that Harry Potter and his World have been unleashed, let us pause with bittersweet remembrance of the UO of days gone by...Surely the WWHP will enhance the Universal experience and boost the park's continued evolution, but keep a place in your heart for when Kong ruled the concrete jungle...

    Toy Story Mania August Refurb

TSM is one of our favs, and looks like this will be OK for our upcoming visit (8/28 arrival)....But I agree with others that while there is never a good time for a rehab, taking in down during summer is not the greatest move.

    3 days enough?

Great advice and thank you....I'll be sure to consider the blockout lift implication for 2011 planning. Tough for us to take breaks, since our objective is to max out on touring time, and relaxation is not really a priority, silly as that may sound. We'll likely stick with one UH day and...

    3 days enough?

Thanks all for the additional perspectives....I should have clarified that this is for a 2011 trip (WDW is on tap for this Sept), so we have plenty of time to plan and build a strategery. We would likely do Universal Hollywood for a few days and then move down to DL, targeting our park days...

    3 days enough?

Thanks for the helpful info so far. We would be going in mid to late August and staying at VGC, so on one hand I suppose (although I'm not sure) crowds may be a challenge, but our proximity would build in some efficiency. This is my first DL related post and I must say I'm impressed with the...

    3 days enough?

Opinions on whether or not 3 theme park days are sufficient for a visit to DL and DCA? We are East Coasters and this might be our only trip to DL. Mind you we tend to be TPCs, among the first in and last out of the parks, with no trips back to the hotel, no naps, no dips in the pool. TIA...
