    Compare Dueling Dragons to Hulk?

Hulk is more intense than DD. It has an amazing launch & 0-G roll. But after that, it isn't nearly as good as DD. DD is the better ride because it keeps going after the Hulk burns out. Hulk is a great coaster, and burns out sounds kinda bad, so that's no really the right word. Hulk shouldn't be...

UNIVERSAL FANS! We need your REVIEWS!!

What the heck are you talking about! You get more bang for your buck in both Universal Orlando's parks than you do in Disney! The rides are much better, the lines are better (except for Dr. Doom), everything is better! .................................... How do I submit reviews again? I...

    IOA history question....................

IOA opened in 1999, and at that time had rides like no other parks had. And now, 6 years later, the rides are still considered some of the most technologically advanced rides in the world. There was a small expansion in 2001 or 2002 that brought Storm Force and the Flying Unicorn.

US & IOA in One Day

In my last trip I did both in one day. I went in a time of year that was much more crowded than the time you're going, so I never got on the same ride twice. But it was an amazing day b/c we got to combine the best of 2 amazing parks. The lines shouldn't be too long for you, so I can see you...

    Univeral this weekend?

I have been following the weather. Katrina dipped south last night, and today we were supposed to get rained on, but because of the southern turn, we got none. It has also gone farther west than expected, decreasing it's effects on the Orlando area. I think you'll be fine. You might get a...

I need planning help for Sept. Universal trip

Okay, I'm just going to list the stuff that would be possible to do considering the height requirements. I don't know your daughter's height, so forgive me if I list something she's too short to ride. Well, there is plenty for young kids to do. Since she's six, there is also the possibility...

    Fat Friendly Rides at Universal/IOA

I've never gone w/ anyone "fat", but most rides are able to accomadate larger riders. I know Hulk and Dueling Dragons have special seating somewhere in each. For JPRA there are no real dividers between the seats (just an outline of 5 seats), so I suppose larger riders could use 2 seats if they...

    Going in 17 Hours!!! Help

Do the water rides before the mid-late afternoon when one of 2 things happen: 1. The lines start to get long 2. It starts to rain torrentially, and it seems like it takes forever for them to re-open the ride. You shouldn't have as much trouble w/ the crowds since you are going late in...

    Universal/IoA crowds in Dec?

Any park you go to it's insanely crowded. Disney crowds are more than crowds, they're mobs. SeaWorld is so crowded you have to show up for a show 45 minutes early just to get an what's left of the seats. In Universal, well, more of the same.

    How Are The Crowds???

Need advice for 1st Sea World trip

How do you pet a penguin!? That'd be cool.... A couple things you want to do: Feed the dolphins @ Dolphin Cove - it's a really cool experience. Make sure to pet them under the chin. There are feeding times throughout the day. Get in line a couple minutes before the stalls officially start...

    Revenge of Mummy Thrill Factor

I thought that there would be some sort of effect that would simulate scarabs crawling over you. That didn't happen. I don't think the ride is psychological at all. Still a great ride.

The New (and not improved) Story Thread!

"Hey wanna race?" "No," I said. "You're just saying that because you know you'll lose. Because you don't have any super powers!" "Let's just say you have your powers...and I have mine..." I said. "But you don't have any powers!" she yelled. Which made me...

    Is Universal suitable for toddlers??

Plenty. Of course, what you have to understand is that UO isn't disney and every ride isn't suitable for toddlers. But there is still plenty to do: IOA Storm Force Accelatron - basically MK's teacups only cooler. Me Ship, The Olive - interactive play area for kids. You can also spray...

    crowded at Christmas?

YES. It can be insanely crowded between Christmas and New Years. You have to be at some shows 45 minutes early or else they won't let you in because there's no more seats. The pathways are packed. The rides don't have huge lines usually, though. JTA is less popular in the cold, but still expect...

How scary would Tower of Terror be for 7 year old?

The whole 'haunted' concept scared me when I was young. But, I hate to say it, but I was a huge whimp back then. I had no problem w/ the drops. It's an awesome ride to me now. It all depends how your child deals with rides that drop, or rides that involve projected ghosts. It's not an...

    Revenge of Mummy Thrill Factor

Not big at all. Keep in mind, this is a completely indoor ride. The drops aren't very big, but they feel much more wild because they enhanced w/ the dark, mist, and projections of the phantom mummies (at least that's what they look like).
