February 1, 2013- 4 night Magic from Galveston

We have a three year old as well and are considering taking a taxi to Paradise Beach. It should be $12-15 each way for taxi. There is no entrance fee but they expect adults to order $10 pp in food or beverages. A wristband for the water activities (slide, iceburg, trampoline, etc.) is $12...

February 1, 2013- 4 night Magic from Galveston

Thanks, we are still waitlisted. Hoping something comes through for us. So, who's dressing up for pirate night? DS was a pirate for Halloween this year so his outfit is done (plus he has Jake stuff). DH and I plan on dressing up but I haven't had time to think about it yet...got to get...

February 1, 2013- 4 night Magic from Galveston

We just booked this cruise with out 3 year old son. Will be our first cruise with Disney and DS' first cruise ever. :) Where can I find information on dining/navigators? Specifically, which night is the formal/more dressy night and which night is the pirate night? We've got some planning...

    Back from the AKL! 12/19 - 12/29

Great post, and exactly what I wanted to hear! We are going at the end of January and have a split stay between AKL (first)and Poly(second). We will be doing DS & AK while at the AKL, and MK and EP while at the Poly. I think it is really going to work out to be two "mini vacations"...

    Which Should I Use?

I've been a member of both. I think it depends on your personality, really. TGM: Someone who wants to chat, discuss, plan out all the options. Someone who is Disney obsessed and wants to learn every little detail. Someone who likes to read a lot and learn extra beyond the heres and nows...

Childless Couple, Oct 14-18, All in one thread

MONDAY, OCT 17-- Since MGM is so close to Pop, we decided to "sleep in" a little bit. I think we got up at 7:15 am this morning and we were headed to the bus stop by 7:45 am. Lo and behold, we were the first through the turnstiles AGAIN! We waited with everyone else for the rope drop at...

SUNDAY, OCT 16-- Once again, we were up at 6:45 am. We got to epcot at 7:45, and guess what, we were the first through the turnstiles again! They stopped us at Spaceship Earth, we saw the bus full of characters, did the countdown, and we were off to Soarin'! I got our FP for Soarin, and...

Childless Couple, Oct 14-18, All in one thread

SATURDAY, OCT 15-- Up bright and early for MK! DH and I got up at 6:45 am. We grabbed a bite to eat at Pop's food court in a take out container. DH was waiting at the bus stop and I had to run with the food to make the bus. We got to the gates at MK at about 7:45 am for a 9:00 opening...

Childless Couple, Oct 14-18, All in one thread

FRIDAY, OCT 14-- We arrived via Southwest Airlines from Philly about an hour and a half late (some dumb guy went through security and they closed the airport down). We used Magical Express and it was VERY easy to find. It wasn't busy and the bus left pretty quickly. We were the first stop...

Childless Couple, Oct 14-18, All in one thread

ABOUT THE DINING PLAN- DH and I did not feel like this was too much food. We are thin people (I am a size 6 and DH has a 32" waist and is 6'3"), but we are BIG EATERS. We used our TS credits for dinner each night and the counter service for breakfast or lunch. We were allowed pretty much...

Childless Couple, Oct 14-18, All in one thread

We just got back and I wanted to write a trip report while it was fresh on my brain. Stayed at POP and was on the dining plan. ABOUT POP- The Pop Century Resort was adequate. We intended on being at the parks and not in the room, so we just need a place that had transportation and...

    Dance with me

I'm joining in too--4 days for us!! Actually, the "vacation" starts Thursday night, so really it is more like 3 days. Shhh...don't tell anyone... DH's birthday is Friday. A long time ago, concert tickets for 2 bands that he loves (Weezer and Foo Fighters) went on sale. I tried to get...

My random thoughts trip report 9/30 - 10/8

Unfortunatly, The Great Movie Ride sufers the same problem that Spaceship Earth does in the morning--they're positioned FRONT and CENTER. People walk into the park, not knowing where to go, and then wander inwards until they see it. "Hey, let's go on this!"

    MGM itinerary, is it do-able?

I think you would get more help if you used less abbreviations. I usually catch on to abbreviations pretty quickly, but your post made me have to sit and think about a few of them. Not trying to be rude, but a lot of people don't like to give help unless it is "easy" for them.

Just Back (10/1-10/8) - seemed really crowded why?

If you check the updates to UoG online, you will see that they predicted it to be crowd level 5 and 6 during your stay, depending on the days. It sounds like UoG was absolutly right in your case. A 5 = Peak waits of 45 - 54 minutes, and a 6 = Peak waits of 55 - 64 minutes. You absolutly...

Anyone else have this problem with POP?

Just so everyone knows, I have my documents (emailed) for POP sitting right here in front of me, and it clearly says: (copied directly) Check-In / Check-Out -Check-in time is typically between 3 and 4 p.m., and check-out time is normally between 11 a.m. and 12 noon. (During peak periods...

Choose One: Peter Pan or Pooh?

WOW, so many posts in so little time! I am thinking we probably will be able to do both, but it just depends on the crowds. I think it looks like Peter Pan is winning. We are definitly fastpassing it. I was trying to decide which one was the better fastpass option of the two, thereby...
