    BWV vs. BCV

It is without question an everyday occurrence and a widespread problem at the Boardwalk. And to a certain extent I am not surprised by the unmitigated gall of all the people trespassing. After all: 1. There is free parking at the Boardwalk. 2. There are tens of thousands visitors to the...

    BWV vs. BCV

I recently completed an online survey of my last trip to the Board Walk. Thought I'd share one of my responses: "Your outright refusal to keep non guests out of the BW pool completely ruins one of the main benefits of staying at a Disney resort. Every single time I went to the feature pool...

AKL Villas Too Disconnected to Main Lodge?

It's not the long walk I have a problem with. It's a long ugly walk next to a parking lot that disappoints me.

AKL Villas Too Disconnected to Main Lodge?

I know they can landscape on side of walkway but based on the artist sketches I'm looking at you're talking about a mile walk alongside a parking lot. I guess I'm surprised they didn't put even a small buffer between that walkway and the parking lot.

AKL Villas Too Disconnected to Main Lodge?

Since I already bought at AKL site unseen, I was looking at some of the photos of the Villas under construction - and a couple of things struck me: 1. Boy does it seem like long a walk to get to the main "Jamba House" from the villas. 2. It also seems like the only way over there is to take...

You might have even been "cranky" enough to put your points on the open market at a discounted price so you could buy into AKV or BLT.

    SAB closed 1/5/09 - 4/15/09

That might explain why I was able to get a one-bedroom reservation for spring break so easily. I'll be canceling that trip for sure. Dang...

If I may, I'd like to suggest staying at the Boardwalk if someone in your party is using a wheel chair. We took my mother in law (who uses a wheel chair) last year and it was great to have the free valet parking right at the front of the resort. Plus, when she wanted to go sit by the pool, or...

Oh c'mon... I never once said SSR needed to eliminate parking lots. I said DVC should have used the same forethought while designing SSR as they used when they built Port Orleans - a "moderate" resort. PO has parking lots right outside each of the guest room buildings so you can park near...

And Mel - apparently you've read everyone of them. While I, on the other hand, have never been compelled to do the same with your posts. You know what that comeback calls for don't ya? :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2::rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2::rotfl...

Hey jdg, Not that it's a classic or anything, but I answer the "what I would do differently if I were an imagineer" question on post #41. Plain and simple, it's all about misplacement of the roads and parking lots. Look at Port Orleans, which is a similar sized resort just up the river...

    Lower than low resales...

This discussion started out posing an open question (presumably to all posters) why SSR holds a lower value in the open market. My arguments in a nutshell: 1. SSR is newer - and offers 10 more years of use - than VWL, BC, BWV. Yet not only is there less booking demand for SSR, it also...

Yikes! Of course I have to make a joke about a town hit by a tornado. Sorry Dudley, it really didn't even occur to me when I made the comment. To be honest I'm embarrassed to admit I don't even remember that one. Didn't mean to make you seethe for the last couple days.

Easy Dudley. These boards are just a little too serious for a Mickey Mouse discussion group. I'm sure Plainfield is very nice - I'm a Chicago suburban boy myself. And again, I'm not begrudging people's fondness for any resort. But if the discussion is centering on theories surrounding the low...

Thanks for the ciphering John. It will be interesting to see if SSR - newer than VWL, BC and BW - will manage to rebound or continue its slide.

Blood thirsty troll if you're reading all of the posts... Yes, the low price point and constant high availability at SSR are not facts - just my opinion. Well said...
