New Recruits to ‘Suit Up’ Alongside Spider-Man with Cutting-Edge Tech from the NWE at Disneyland

So Disney is fast tracking rides by taking the template approach as they did by re-skinning Flik’s Flyers into Emotional Whirlwind? I’m not pleased with current management’s perceived strategy: C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me). At least it worked with big rides like ToT becoming...

Lack of crowds and Disney's response

This, yes. Also compounded by the fact the DL Hotel Convention Center was packed to the gills with dance families attending a multi-day competition that ran through Sunday. I can attest to the longer than expected wait times (was also hoping for the lighter crowds of prior weeks) and several...

No more River Belle Terrace breakfast?

We ate at RBT for dinner just last week while Fantasmic was happening and I agree, the food was a huge letdown. Many items on the menu simply smothered in BBQ sauce. DW and I laughed as we went down the list before ordering saying “...with BBQ sauce...with BBQ sauce...and, with BBQ sauce.”...

Lack of crowds and Disney's response

We’re in California and recently started seeing a fairly “basic” commercial for SWGE as well (by basic I mean it follows the template of other kid-perspective commercials they’ve run but doesn’t offer anything memorable). However, we’ve only seen it run on Disney’s own channels (Disney Channel...

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

At the pools, are we allowed to bring our own vests/floaties for the kids or do we need to use ones provided by the hotel?

    Sheraton Park Hotel?

Coast Hotel Reflagged as Sheraton Park http://www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/about/news/news_release_detail.html?obj_id=0900c7b9804e4208 There is new construction adjacent to the parking lot as well, but it's the same building and guest towers.

    Sheraton Park Hotel?

I guess I should close the loop on my own post. :p The Sheraton Park is a renovation of the Coast hotel (so a remodel, not a brand new hotel). We definitely enjoyed our stay (the 3 days we were there). The only drawback was we were required to stay in a first floor room (as opposed to...

    star tours changes

One other thing I might add, along the lines of why Star Tours should be udpated. With other rides, refreshes are mainly to restore the original look and feel of a classic, or update it to add a new character, such as with POTC. It's considered a "classic" so you don't really want to mess...

    star tours changes

Awww...we thought those "going and going and going" posters were pretty good! Especially b/c you keep walking and going and going through the exit, lol. Oh well. Let's hope we can get some major updates to the ride itself. Like multiple ride sequences / trip destinations to mix it up a bit...

Can you help me identify this person?

No, no, no! Shame on all of you...that's X Atencio. He was the artist behind classics like Fantasia and the music of POTC. Check this out for more info: http://legends.disney.go.com/legends/detail?key=X+Atencio Video here: http://www.tellnotales.com/video.htm pirate:

    New Pirate activities at DL

I'm not sure which group they are, but there is a group of Pirate entertainers on a stage just outside Cafe Orleans. They are really good with the crowds...we really enjoyed their improv. Very talented. They seemed to be performing almost continuously, rotating pirates on and off stage. We...

    Pirates Coins?

Thanks for the info! Looks like we were in the right place at the right time! :goodvibes I think we'll have to go back to collect the others now (just what the management is hoping for, no?) :p pirate:

    catholic church near Disneyland?

Try Switchboard.com For "Business Name" use "Churches-Catholic" and then enter "Anaheim, CA" in "Location". Also, this site seems to work well: http://www.catholicweb.com/directory.cfm Cheers.

    Pirates Coins?

While at DL last week, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a collectible POTC coin from our server at Cafe Orleans. She says they give them out when you spend $30 or more at selected restaurants. Anyone have more info on this? My fiancee says she recalls seeing a poster with details...

    Jack Sparrow?

Here ya go...he is a pretty close resemblance to the real Cap'n Jack imo: He had a crowd everywhere he went. Sorry I don't have a better pic from our visit.

    Weird Question...

We just got back and you can get them at the Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland (I believe they sell mozzarella sticks and things like that) and if you order a kid's meal at French Market. Don't be fooled...a kid's meal there is a decent portion for an adult! :)

Please help, weekend trip 7-7 to 7-9.

For a Priority Seating, you can call 714-781-3463 (Disney Dining) and request for either Lunch or Dinner. The CM will let you know which times are available. If you'd like a "water view" table, you will want to arrive about 30 minutes before your PS time and mention it to the CM at the...
