Have Wonder Questions? - Just off Nov. 1!!!

hi, I had a question about the counselors coming to dinner to pick up the kids. How does that work? Do you arrange it ahead of time, or do they do a visit to the dining room at a certain time and whoever is interested can send the kiddos? We have cruised many times, and this is one thing I...

    Nursery Questions Need Answers

Jessica, On the Castaway Cay day the hours a bit different, and if they allowed you to book certain hours, I am sure they are fine. There are still gaps in the schedule at Flounders, it isn't just open all day from the morning to after midnight like the club and lab, but there should be plenty...

    Nursery Questions Need Answers

They do not put all of the available hours online in advance, just a percentage. They want to make sure that all guests who wants nursery hours get to book their first 20 hours (or whatever the number is, according to length of cruise) before they let other guests book more. Some people do not...

DCL vs RCL Oasis of the Seas honeymoon

I would vote for RCCL. I love Disney, but I think you will get a lot of Disney at the parks, etc on the other week. It might be nice to sort of have a different type of experience the first week. I think it is good to end with Disney! :wizard: I'm not sure if you have future plans to have...

    DCL Merchandise

What are you looking for? Sometimes you can find a sweet DIS-er to pick something up if they are on a cruise before yours, and send it to you. :wizard:

    Spin classes

Definitely sign up for spin class on the first day. They should have the pages out on a table, I think last time they were on a clipboard. The spa (and the gym) are open when you board, they usually open at noon for spa tours and to take reservations. IIRC, they had the LeMond Revmaster...

Is there a fee for canceling Flounders and CC excur. ressies...

Yes, you can do this on the Wonder as well. They open up on the first day of the cruise in the early afternoon and have sort of the "open house" thing. (also for the older kids in the clubs, too) This makes it so much easier on the parents, that is for sure. Both of my kids did the Flounders...

Leaving your child on the ship?

ITA with EVERYTHING wideeyedwonder said. :thumbsup2 We love our family time all together and my DH and I love our special couple time. Heck, usually the kids are BEGGING us to stay in the kids club when we want to pick them up and actually hang out with them. We're like, "hey kids...don't you...

    Cabs and babies?

Everyone has a different...I guess "comfort level" with this one. We are so used to safety and car seats in this country and it so weird to think it isn't that way everywhere. Most of the cabs we used in the Caribbean or Mexico did not even have seatbelts, so you couldn't secure a seat anyway...

    March-warm enough?

We've almost always sailed in March, early March, and it has been perfect. Especially coming from Northeast USA, where it is freezing! The one year we went in Sept, it was not as enjoyable. It was so HOT and my toddler just couldn't enjoy being outside. I'd love to go in May sometime, it...

Am I crazy for wanting to take 1yr old?

I'm sure everyone has different opinions on this, I think it depends on YOUR one year old, kwim? If you think it would be reasonable and enjoyable for her...of course, it is hard to tell now, she isn't born yet. ;) I'd go ahead and book it, you can change it later if you decide it will not work...

    7 Day Land/Sea Package--what would you do?

Definitely do the 4 day cruise. That extra day makes a big difference. It is a day at sea and you can actually explore the ship and find some very fun things to enjoy onboard. On the 3 day it is port, port, pack and go. WAY too quick! I agree, if you can add another day for WDW that would be...

    Questions About Adult Parties

I remember having the same experience on my first disney cruise. DH and I (actually we weren't married yet, he proposed on that trip  ) were alone and spent quite a bit of time in the adult only areas. On the last day we decided to go to the kids graduation...I don't know why, we thought...

    Are carry-on questions regarding flights?

You'll want to go ahead and "check" in your big roll on bags with the porters at the port. Pretty much everyone checks in their bags, it is just how it is done for cruises. It would be mayhem if everyone brought all of their own bags on board...and you'd never get an elevator. ;) It is a...

What's the best packing advice you have for a long cruise?

Oh, and the shoe thing...I have never found a way to bring less than 4 pair. Even for the kids. For me, I need flip flops, strappy dress shoes (I usually bring a black pair that can be dressed up or down), my running shoes, and my comfy walking sandals (Keens, love em). The kids usually bring...

What's the best packing advice you have for a long cruise?

Doing laundry really isn't a big deal. Bring one of those pop up laundry bag/hamper type of things, I got one at Target or Walmart...it was a few dollars. There's handles on it, so I could take this down to the laundry with me and then bring back the clean laundry in it to fold in the room. It...

What's the best packing advice you have for a long cruise?

I agree with packing things up and taking out half. Even when I do that I end up bringing things I don't wear. How does that happen? LOL We've been on several 2 week trips, and I always do laundry. Usually just a few loads is all I need to do...colors, darks, whites. That will get us...

Poll: Which room should I book???

Well, I think with just one child who is almost 9...I'd get the inside room. Yes, you will wish you had the window, but you will be happy you have that "extra" $1200 for all of the other fun things you want to do. Otherwise you will go into the trip feeling like you already spent too much, kwim...
