    Wheelchair/transportation issues on recent stay

Can they still fit 2 mobility devices on a bus (if they're in the same party)? Or is that not being done due to spacing for Covid? My daughter uses a wheelchair and needs to stay in it, my dad will be using an ECV for stamina issues, but obv. will not be staying in it on busses. Wondering, if...

    Wheelchair/transportation issues on recent stay

Wow, so sorry to hear this. We're headed there in less than two weeks. Guess at least we'll be prepared for less than the usual good service. Ugh. We will have our van, but were hoping to mainly use Disney transport.

DAS pass for arthritis mobility issues – Wheelchair/ECV rental completely outside of our budget

My dad is joining us (he moved in with us since our last trip, joining so he won't be alone for a week) on our no parks camping trip this month. He looked into renting an ECV for the week, prices ranged from $180-300. Then we looked into how much to purchase a compact one. He could have gotten...

    # in skyliner ?

Thanks for this thread, it hadn't even occurred to me that we wouldn't all fit into one skyliner. We are not doing parks this trip and figured we'd spend an afternoon on the skyliner, and exploring the resorts from there, before our dinner reservation at the Swan. Maybe this will allow us all...

    # in skyliner ?

Do you think a party of 5 that included one wheelchair and one (compact) ECV, would be allowed on one skyliner?

Is a golf cart a necessity in our situation?

Thanks for some great information! The people we're renting the RV from are aware we need to be using the ramp for access. When I initially made the reservation I thought I remembered a spot where I could input the length of the RV we were bringing, but we had not reserved one so I left it...

Is a golf cart a necessity in our situation?

We have not yet stayed at the fort, but are rending an RV (toy hauler, for the back ramp to add accessibility to it) in a few weeks, and added on a golf cart with the RV rental. We have a family member who uses a wheelchair, we are getting a golf cart anyhow, because the rest of the family may...

    Comfort stations and accessibility

I found a photo online of an accessible shower stall at the fort can anyone tell me if this is typical? Are they all about the same size or might there be some that are a tad bigger? We're going to be in a rented RV (toy hauler for accessibility to get in), but the bathroom will not be...

Covid vaccine & high risk - hoping to plan our family trip soon.

Congrats on getting your vaccine! We've been away from the world for a year, had been planning a disney trip before things shut down. SO, in about 10 days the last of our family will have had their second vaccine dose (two high risk people of five in our house), so we're doing a resort (fort...

Room or package payment with gift card(s)??

We put our deposit for our reservation on a regular credit cart, but wanted to pay the balance with gift cards. I can't find an option to do that. I did see the option to pay the deposit with a gift card but didn't choose it then. Can anyone help me out?

    Looking for wheelchair bag suggestions

Skip Hop (look on Amazon) has good looking "diaper bags" that have convertible straps, that accommodate stroller type handles, in a variety of patterns, I've seen camo, basic solid colors, black, gray etc.

    Park hopper on first trip?

We've been several times since 2005. Only had park hoppers for the last trip. I honestly was glad to not have the pressure of hopping our first trips. Once we'd been a few times it seemed more feasible to hop. I would say no to getting hoppers for a first trip. IF you decide you want to hop...

    Accessible off property lodging

We've really enjoyed our last couple of visits as a family at Bonnet Creek, the extra space is necessary for us and we can't afford that much space on Disney property. However, as my daughter (100% care) gets older, so do we, and we're finding the bathing aspect of things difficult in a...

What's the best strategy for getting on Frozen Ever After?

Rope drop is what I did. Got there about 830 for 9 am opening, gates opened about 845, when I headed (not running) straight back to Frozen. the line was beginning to form (there was a CM standing outside with a sign that said "frozen line starts here" or something. This is what it looked like...

Pooh WC car out of service

9/12/16 We were told the WC accessible vehicle was "not in service". Not sure if it's out for repairs, or what was up, but just thought others would want to know before getting in line if you're unable to transfer. I wish we were told when we entered the line, but at least we had a FP and...

Any good recommendations for hiring a respite RN to come to resort

My daughter sounds a lot like the OPs son, this is great information to have for our next trip (here now). I've thought about doing this but hadn't got around to doing the figuring out part yet!

    Marceline to Magic Tour

We did it in May, we went behind the scenes at HM, and had a commentated showing at CoP, but no Pooh. I don't think it took away any magic, it almost made it seem more awesome, to see how some things are done.
