Congrats!
I have a DS(2) and one-on-the-way. My advice is see if your community has a clothing consignment sale for kids. Our community has two through the park district and several churches have them, too. I have sold some of DS clothes and since he was a baby I have bought used...
Yes, I thought this sounded a little crazy!!! I just nodded and smiled while thinking to myself (I'm gonna check this out on DIS boards when I get home...). :) Although, I'm glad to know that Disney takes care of the mamas and keeps them out of the hot sun! :)
Today at lunch with my friends the topic turned to pregnancies/maternity leave and someone told me if you work at Disney World they give you 100% paid maternity as soon as you start to "show" because pregnancy doesn't fit the "disney image". Despite my trips to Disney I couldn't recall in my...
When I was carrying my son I got my favorite maternity shirt from K-Mart, it was pink with Winnie the Pooh on the front and it said "Lovin' My Tummy". So Cute!
With photopass -- I guess I didn't do my homework before going! I didn't know there was a CD option you could purchase in advance. :confused3
The details for the Chase Disney Visa Credit Card Character Meet-n-Greet will be on the web site for your card (at least that is where I got them)...
I've learned so much from the Dis over the years, I wanted to post my top ten tips after our first trip with a child in-tow. This post is long overdue, we got back Jan. 11th!
1.Gate-check cheap strollers only! Ours was lost or stollen and the airline personnel did not care. It was okay...
Thanks for the tips. :thumbsup2 I am going with 2 y/o in January and it will be the first time I've taken him. First trip with a child I'm sure is going to be very different than just me & DH. Happy to soak up any and all tips about family travel that I can from these boards!
:goodvibes
So excited! :yay: My generous MIL announced yesterday she will be taking our family to WDW in January!!! :rotfl: I am so excited. She is going to rent a condo for us all and take care of airfare are car rental (I already have non-expiry tickets with 7 days left from last trip)...
Just watching my Enchanted DVD this morning and as anyone who has seen it knows there are a lot of clever "winks" to decades worth of Disney movies in the film.
During the scene when the prince is on the bed at the Grand Duke hotel watching TV while he is watching the soap opera (with the...
Not the most healthy, but a step up from how we have been eating: I buy from Aldi's a box of Aldi's brand "cheerios" $1.70 and a bag of plain M&Ms $2 and mix 2 cups of cheerios to every 1 cup M&Ms. This way we can get our sweet fix & yet everyone is still getting some whole grain cereal, too...
Thanks! DH wants to have "non-park day" on our next trip and I was spending a lazy Saturday morning clicking around the WDW web site "Disney Dreaming" :cloud9: of things to do on our next trip! :surfweb:
A question...I know you are not allowed to use the pool at a resort not your own, however, if you have a meal at a resort restaurant not at the WDW resort you're staying at, are you allowed to walk around and take in the scenery afterwards?
Thanks! :confused3
I read about this show on the Oprah web site and the comments the women made to each other seemed kinda mean-spirited. I'm glad this thread is so supportive. :flower3: I agree we need to celebrate each other's choices and celebrate the fact that today we have so many choices! Every family...
Thanks for all the feedback! I forgot free dining runs in Sept. Anyone know how far in advance you have to book to get it? (I know it's only a certain # of rooms). We are definately driving, though, to us the journey is part of the fun! :drive: Although, our son was 7 weeks on our last...
Hellow fellow budget-minded Disers! :wave2:
We are saving for a WDW vacation next year while continuing on our TMMO (paid off all our CC debt, now working on getting rid of car loans! :) ). We've decided to scale back our (originally planned) $3,000 dream vacation next year and put the...
You can do both! :thumbsup2 In 2005 we bought 10-day non-expiry park hoppers and only used 3 days off them. In 2008 we plan to get a package with DDP and 1-day ticket each, then for the other days we will use some of the admissions off our old passes. I think we're saving $$$ in the long...
The day before yesterday my DS crawled over to DH, put his fat little hand on DH's cheek and said "da da". Just about melted DH's heart (and mine). Now, where's "ma ma"?
