I am going to make those index cards and I need help.

Index cards work really well. I used them when our family went in 1994 and 1998. I photocopied the maps and touring plans at the back of the Unofficial Guide to WDW and taped them onto the cards. We followed the plan pretty well until about 1pm when we had all the big rides done. Even though the...

Does anyone here NOT like Whispering Canyon Cafe?

We were there for the first time in Oct. 2006. I was really looking forward to it but the antics were not so great and the food left a lot to be desired and DS hated his meal and did not eat it. The milkshakes were good though. We will not be going back.

    Mama Melrose?

We went here for our FDP in Oct 2006. It was quite good. We all had the 4 cheese flatbread and the Chicken Parmigan. I think that I was not too impressed with my dessert, but my own fault, I should have had gelato.

    Christmas gift hits and misses?

This year we decided to really splurge on the kids. We got them each a laptop (kids are 19,23 and 26) as they are all attending university and all will be living in a different city next year. Two of them have birthdays in Jan, so it is a combo birthday/Xmas present. DH got a great deal and they...

Does WDW sell Christmas Stockings and/or shot glasses?

My DD got a shot glass on our last visit - I think it was at the Emporium at MK. Very cute.

    Animal Kingdom - Misjudged

I have loved AK right from the start and love it even more with each visit. The details of everything, from the lampposts and benches to the inside of the restaurants is superb. Once we do the top rides, it is such a nice relaxing park to take in. I just love wandering around and taking it all...

Are There Any Other Canadians Who Like The Swan/Dolphin Resorts?

Since there are special rates for nurses, do you think there will be special rates for lab technologists? I think we work equally as hard in our hospital?:) Seriously, I hadn't really considered the S/D but after reading this thread I think I will. The location would be great. Anyone know...

Any Other Vancouverites Going to Escape the 2010 Olympics?

My sister is from Vancouver and we decided last year that we will take off for two weeks during the Olympics. Of course we wouldn't go to any events anyhow - heck, at the prices they are asking, we could not afford to!! I agree that Vancouver cannot afford to host them although some of the road...

    wdw at christmas time?

I have never been to WDW in December but I would sure like to. Every year I think to myself, I would love to go away at Christmastime and dispense with some of the shopping, cleaning, cooking, etc. At least once in my life. But yes, it would be very busy the week of Christmas. What about some...

Give me some Animal Kingdom love, people!!

It would be hard to chose between AK, Epcot and MK for my favorite park but, that being said, I LOVE the AK. Once you have been to the bigger attractions, take the time to relax and just notice all of the details - the lamp posts, park benches, etc. We also love to do the gorilla walk and the...

    Birnbaum's 2008, any opinions?

I also prefer the Unofficial Guide as it gives you the good and the bad for each attraction, restaurant and resort. I get a new one each time we go (about every 3 yrs). Yes, the info is often repetative but I do get my Disney fix while I am planning my trip. I also like the info on USF/IOA and...

WDW and food allergies, good experience

That is so good to know. My sister is allergic to all nuts, fish and seafood, bananas, peas and a few more things. I hope we can go to WDW within the next couple of years.:)

    Send good wishes-please-urgent

I am sorry to hear about your pain and upcoming surgery. Hopefully, then can get you in soon to have it fixed up. Can you possibly reschedule for Spring Break? I know it is not the same as you want to be there for the Xmas holidays. Keep us posted about what happens. :santa:

    Raja

My daughter got a Raja in 1994. I think we got it at one of the main stores at Epcot. Hope you find one.

Disney in MAY ~ Tell me everything!

We went in May 2000 as our oldest was in university. We had only gone during spring break before so the smaller crowds were a pleasant surprise. It was hotter, especially at AK. The Flower and Garden Festival was wonderful. The parks did close earlier but this turned out to be a good thing as we...

    Let's talk Boma's for dinner...

Boma was our very favorite meal of our trip. I ate way too much because everything was sooo good. For me, the zebra domes were OK but nothing really special. But there were lots of really good desserts! Enjoy!:)

"The Crowdedest Place On Earth" A 4th of July week trip report! Updated 7/14

I just love your trip report! I am looking forward to reading some more!:) AKL looks so nice and I would love to see all those animals. We did go to Boma in Oct. (first time at AKL) but our buzzer went right away so I did not get much of a look at the animals. It sure looks like you are having a...
